Whittoria Auto Club
Reviving this league once again, with a much more ambitious slate. Stock Cars will remain in the GNS thread from 4-5 years ago. We’re still in 1983. I’ll put more shine on this when I have time.
The Whittoria Auto Club runs a variety of series based off the following regulations:
Group 1 Production Touring Cars
5,000 examples
-Very limited modifications to engine, transmission, chassis, aero
Group 2 Grand Touring Cars
1,000 examples
-Production based GT cars, much more room for modifications
Group 3 Silhouette Touring Cars
-10% rule min. 2500 examples
Group 4 Silhouette GT Cars
-10% rule min. 500 examples
Group 5 Sports Cars
-25 example minimum
Group 6 Prototype Sports
-10 example minimum
And let’s just throw one class of open wheel/IndyCar mates with F1 and shazaam, problem solved.
Specific Regulations Determined by each series.
What are these series? The following:
The Grand National Series
-Stock Cars, fall under Gr. 3 & 4 regulations, though teams must build cars from purchased production models. Ends up being somewhat hybrid production and Silhouette but whatever. Wide variety of manufacturers allowed. See that thread for signup information.
The Gold Crown Series
-Whittorian IndyCars. They go to a wide variety of tracks. Variety of chassis & engine suppliers. Fun Stuff.
Uses the Smiffsden IndyCar mod with an exe I've made that somewhat resembles late 80s F1 cars. Unless I can get the OWR05 mod to stop popcorning, because I REALLY like it.
The Whittorian Sportscar Championship
-“MultiClass”. GTP and Aero88 mod. No, they won’t run at the same time. We get to pretend. Endurance racing with one sprint race just for fun. Runs Gr. 3, 4, 5, and 6 regulations.
Classes & Ratings
National Touring Series
Whittorian National Rally Championship
- Unique series where Qualifying is your one lap run at the stage for most of the points, and a short race with all cars on track for slightly less points. This will use two mods split into 2 divisions.
Group 2: Will utilize the Aero88 mod. 10 race schedule, 2L Displacement limit. Production and GT based cars, no silhouettes. Consider this the equivalent of Gr. A Rallying. 15 car limit.
Group 6: Will use the Colby Jack Dirt Modified mod. 12 race schedule. 3L Displacement. Group B on steroids. Only limitation is one entry per manufacturer. Body modifications (aero ducts and the like) are entirely up to the imagination. 15 car limit.
The schedule will include dirt ovals as well. Consider Whittorian Rallying as all dirt racing rolled into one. Also one or two paved tracks, because tarmac rallies are a thing. Expect Darlington.
Regional Sportsman Series
-Aero 88. Baby GNS series in four regions of the country: North, South, Midwest, and West. 10 race schedule. Top four in points from each region enter an 8 race national tour to determine the Sportsman National Champion. Same Regs as the Grand National Series but with a 5L Displacement limit. Grand National teams look to this series for new talent.
ALL Pit strategy ratings will be set to 90-99. Pit Ratings Stacks for Speed and Consistency are as follows:
30-50 for both Speed & Consistency
+10 for one
-10 for the other
All of this is subject to change. Schedules, ratings stacks, and background info/regulations to come. If you paint your own cars they should have liveries that are very much “of the times”. If you try to enter your Call of Duty Black Ops 9/Monster Energy Nissan GTR with flames and barbed wire on the side ITS PROBABLY GONNA GET REJECTED MATE. Give us your Jolt Cola ‘83 Skyline instead.
Whatever. Let’s have some fun. Fictional and real marques and sponsers allowed.

- Points:
- Points will be awarded to the top 8 finishers: 10-8-6-5-4-3-2-1.
Pole and fastest lap will be awarded 1 point.
If I can track it, 1 point will be awarded for the fastest top speed achieved at Le Mans and Bethesda, aided or unaided by draft.
In order to score, cars must complete 90% of the overall distance in 1000km races, 75% of 12-24 hour races.
Failure to do so will result in no points and the car will not be classified
- Schedule:

I log on to make sure I don't CTE. I'll post results over there as well.
Sounds good, but signups won't be posted there anymore. Foreign entries always welcome, but I'm looking to keep some sense of realism. For example, Apple Bottom the cartoon horse is an entry I'm going to say no to.

Re: Whittoria Auto Club
I'm going to start transferring some of this over to a google document so it's easier to read and keep up with. In the meantime, the Regional Sportsman Series schedules are posted for all 4 divisions. The final 10 races will be determined by who finishes in the top 10 of each division.
