Big 2018 Silly Season News: Ryan Blaney to the #12, Paul Menard to the #21.

So, Ryan Blaney will be driving for Roger Penske next year, while Paul Menard will be driving for the Wood Brothers.

As a Ryan Blaney fan, this makes me super excited for the years to come. Him winning a championship this season has just been a fun fantasy to think of this season, but now he has a legitimate shot in the later seasons. Kinda weird that I'll be cheering for him while he is on a team that I hate with a passion.

I was half hoping that Ryan Blaney would stay with Wood Bros. for one more season. He's a good fit for them. I can't complain with the jump to Penske, though. That's a huge step forward, and I'm proud of him.

As for Paul Menard, I'm sure he'll do fine in that car. I'm not sure if I'm ready for the prospect of a neon yellow Wood Bros. #21 car though.

As for the Wood Brothers, couldn't they have got someone better than Menard, IMO? Like Bubba Wallace, Matt Kenseth?

From the things I've heard Bubba is Ford's golden boy, probably finding a RPM ride, Kenseth is either retiring or moving horizontally (meaning, same level, different team) to where he finds himself in.

Especially if that money comes with a competent but not stellar cheesehead. Menard is worth his sponsorship package for the time being, despite a terrible first few seasons in Cup.
