"If you'd have told me...any of this was happening a month ago, I would have said you were pulling my leg. I didn't know if I had a ride, I didn't know if I'd ever get a ride again...Dave [Hetzel] came to me about two weeks ago and said he wanted me to drive this S.A.P. Ling car and...what a team. What a way for us to start. We don't have a lot of manufacturer support, we kind of had to string together sponsorship, but we made the best of it and...maybe that'll turn around now. I wouldn't count anything out at this point; what, are half my wins now on plate tracks? That wasn't supposed to happen! I'm the guy everyone thought was scared of plate tracks! (laughs) Just an awesome day for everyone here. I'm so proud."

David Hetzel was estatic after the Smash Beer 200, the 36 year old owner of the winning race car was said to be "over the moon" after Driver Todds tater held off Monica Rook to Win "I got to savor this one for a while, you know that wins like this won't all be this easy,s o I will forever be grateful to SAPLing and Gessler for helping us out here"
