I really think Burton could have raced Bowyer a little harder on that last lap. Yeah, he gave him a few taps, but otherwise he could have done a lot more.
Good race I suppose, even though I'm a vehement opponent of the two-car tango. And how about that hard hit from Regan Smith? I knew it was going to be bad when his car started turning up the track. Glad he was okay, that was vicious. But, an overall entertaining race.
Oh, and I almost forgot...

Took the words right out of my mouth. They better have rice krispies.
I've not really liked Denny Hamlin because he does this all the time. If you ask me, it looks kinda intentional.

Bad thing is, there's no Golden Corral's on Long Island, and the fact that I'm 20, but good job by Blaney nonetheless. And I think its safe to say that the streak ends at five .

That could work. There is still no Golden Corral's up here.navycook75 wrote:just say you have a disease that makes you look like a 20 year old.racingfreak1999 wrote:Bad thing is, there's no Golden Corral's on Long Island, and the fact that I'm 20, but good job by Blaney nonetheless. Re: Good Sam Club 500 - Sprint Cup Series
overall i'd say it was a pretty entertaining race. like i've always said, i thought the 2-car deal gives folks the ability to set up and make passes rather than just ride around stuck in whatever line. whatever nascar did to the cooling system worked pretty well to keep them from getting too much momentum
but what the balls happened to robby gordon? him and bayne were so damn fast out there. i was getting ready to break out some celebratory SPEED
EDIT: apparently Bayne is none too happy about being ordered to ditch jeffie in favor of kenseth at the end: https://twitter.com/#!/TBayne21
"I'm not happy about what this has become... It's too premeditated. We should be able to go with whoever is around is"

If everybody pitches in, we can open an EFR Golden Corral. Kids eat free every time Kyle Busch cries.Sparkz47 wrote:racingfreak1999 wrote:That could work. Re: Good Sam Club 500 - Sprint Cup Series
That was actually a pretty entertaining race. From me, that's saying a lot, since I wish the two-car-tandems would just GTFO. However, it's a shame that the race was so good but the finish was moderately lackluster.
Oh well, at least Jimmie Johnson showed how inept he is at pushing. His little "strategy" backfired on him, although I'm quite sad that he brought Junior down with him as well.
And, to be honest, Regan Smith's hit may have realistically been the hardest hit we've seen with the new car, but I'm not completely sure. We all know McDowell went McBarrel rolling after he hit, which dissipated all of his crash energy. On the flipside, Regan Smith's car just did a little hop job and that's it. But, that's what the HANS and SAFER barriers are for, and they sure did their job yesterday.
Lastly, I think Martinsville is going to be the last wildcard for this championship. Edwards has traditionally been bad there, so the other drivers may have one last chance to gain points on him. It should be interesting, I guess...as far as Chases go (I'm still not a fan of the Chase. Never have been, never will be). I'm also interested in seeing how the classic points stack up currently, because this year has been kind of weird. Not one single driver has been consistent this year; everyone has had their share of suckage and failure. Definitely a different tune than the last few years, where there has been clear-cut favorites going into the chase.

Re: Good Sam Club 500 - Sprint Cup Series
Also something else I was thinking about recently...This stuff is becoming WAY too political for my tastes. It seems that these superspeedway races are more in the owners' pockets now instead of the drivers' hands. Why the hell should Jack Roush have any say-so in what happens on track? That is just inexcusable in NASCAR; no reason for that to happen. We all (hopefully) know that Mr. Fat Cat has been NASCAR's resident kvetch since the early 90's, but this just takes it to a new level of pathetic-ness. It's just one more reason for me (and many other fans) to hate the two-car-tandem style of racing.
