Tanya Carter not upset over Kellan Rogers-Ashby contact


Despite an accident from a podium position late in the running of the third race, Tanya Carter said she was not disheartened or upset after an incident which lead to Kellan Rogers-Ashby hitting her after the two got caught up in a crash. Carter had been t-boned by Rogers-Ashby when the #27 turned Carter's STS into her teammate, Louis Walters.

"I understand why she's mad. She's been through so much recently and she doesn't deserve it." said Carter, "If that were me in that incident, I'd do the same, and to be entirely fair to her, I did cause the incident by getting it wrong exiting turn one. I hope things get better for Kellan, though."

Kellan Rogers-Ashby took to Twitter to make apologies to Tanya Carter, which the Irishwoman took well. Dash Cup officials did call Kellan Rogers-Ashby to the steward's office after the conclusion of the event, but after hearing an explanation and seeing the apology, no penalties are expected to be handed out.
