[2012-2014] Ratings Package
Bonus
SECTION 1: Driver Style
Aggression
Consistency
Finishing
Qualifying
SECTION 2: Driver Skills By Track Type
Road Course
Short Track
Speedway
Superspeedway
SECTION 3: Car (This will be determined by the team owner. I will determine these ratings for all the full-time teams with the exception of Team EFR and Power Steering, Inc.)
Aerodynamics
Chassis
Engine
Reliability
For each section, you will submit 12, 9, 3, and -3. In each section, you will use each number once. The numbers indicate the amount added to a base stat (of, say, 80-90).
Since the series will use stacked ratings, the numbers will be added to each stack's base stat. Keep in mind that the wider margins have the potential to create more runaway wins, but have the added bonus of really shaking things up in the midfield, because some of the stacks will have base stats that are very similar (TM Lights A and B class cars were separated by only like 5 or 10 points IIRC).
Regardless of which system wins the vote, all team cars will have the same car ratings (Aerodynamics, Chassis, Engine, Reliability), and cars with a lower class will most likely have more reliable cars and faster pit crews, which could throw a huge monkeywrench into the works.
If this doesn't make sense, you would do ratings like this:
Aggression 3
Consistency 9
Finishing 12
Qualifying -3
Where the numbers 12, 9, 3, and -3 are the amount added (adding -3 subtracts 3) to the minimum and maximum of the base stat (which for class A cars will probably be 75-85). I picked multiples of three for a very simple reason; every time I roll the mousewheel on NRatings, it adds (or subtracts) 3.
Reliability's minimum stat is the one exception to the 12, 9, 3, -3, rule because the minimum for reliability is ALWAYS 0. For reliability, instead of raising the minimum (NOT THE MAXIMUM) by 12, 9, 3, or -3, you raise it by 30, 20, 10, or 0.
If things don't make sense still, say so.

2014 Base Ratings: You don't pick these -- I do -- and they're 100% arbitrary.
Car #25 is in its own class, and therefore it won't get posted.
2012 Stuff -- You don't need to read this:
All of the base stats for the Driver Style and Driver Skills by Track Type are mostly the same across all classes. If a driver has multiple wins in the 2010 and 2011 seasons or had 8 top-10 finishes in 2011 they get a small bonus (5 points) to both categories. Meaning, the following drivers are eligible for the tiny bonus:
- Adrien Devereux
- Alexis Rainsford*
- Leonid Roderick
- Tom Delgado
- Arto Kekkonen
- Tony Durbin*
- Chris Johaanes
- Alan Hodges*
- Mathias Taube
- Scott Bates**
- Marcos Leonard**
* Not on the grid, interestingly (though Hodges is driving the third car).
** Gets the bonus by the 8 top-10 criteria.
It hasn't made a huge difference in testing.
All Independent's Trophy cars have the same base stats. They're pretty much the same as the midfielder cars only they have higher reliability (highest of all, actually).
- 2014 Bonus:
- Will write this shortly

I also gave the bonus to last year's Rookie of the Year, and to the Independent's Trophy winning driver, and to the driver who led the first 1-2 finish in a team that didn't already get in (Nosova in France). I also added a bonus for each admin of the forum that hasn't gotten a driver with a bonus yet. Meaning, the following drivers are eligible for the tiny bonus:
- Adrien Devereux
- Luciano Soveral
- Leonid Roderick
- Arto Kekkonen
- Chris Johaanes
- Divina Henton
- Mathias Taube
- Scott Bates
- Michael Sykes
- Zelda Ashby
- Mélanie Clévenot - Rookie of the Year 2012
- Gaspar de Sousa - Independent's Trophy Winner 2012
- Kurt Plissken
- Charlie Waters
- Yuliya Nosova
- Alexis Rainsford*
- Tom Delgado*
* - Yes, they were STILL eligible for it...
