- Spoiler:
- Delgado's Pit Issues Drop Him to 19th, Title Hopes Dead
From the pole, it looked like Tom Delgado was going to have a magical day in the #837 TirADE Nemoto. Unfortunately, pit issues had a say in that one, resulting in him falling down the field. He was able to hang on for 19th, but only gaining 14 points in the championship. Unable to capitalize on Adrien Devereaux' failure today, it appears Tom Delgado's hopes for his first championship is done.
"There's no excuse for failing to capitalize on Adrien (Devereaux)'s failure today. We had a golden opportunity and we <censored> it up" Delgado said after the race. "Pretty damn obvious to anyone with a brain that our championship hopes are done and dusted, and it's a damn shame. It's going to be really hard trying to push for points when you already know your championship is over" Delgado added when asked whether or not he still had a chance in the championship.
Tom Delgado remains 8th in the championship standings, 124 points behind Adrien Devereaux.

- Spoiler:
- TERRA MOTORSPORTS HAS A GOOD RACE BUT CANNOT HOLD THE TRACK
Greg Woodard, starting towards the middle of the field, was able to race his way to 5th before having tire trouble, he would wind up restarting 18th and reaching the top 10 yet again before losing another tire to debris, the Terra Motorsports team were heartbroken after an excellent run, while the car was capable of running with the front, the tires weren't as durable as the usual they ran in other series.
Greg commented afterwards that he had fun, but it appears that luck wasn't there for him when he actually needed it. He later congratulated Ian Cooper for his first win in 5 years, and Greg hopes to be racing again at Decatur.

- Spoiler:
- Duff's Woeful Season Continues; New Team in 2012?
Indianapolis looked promising for the Volpi brigade. In recent past Volpi has run very well at the 2.5 mile oval and they were expecting the same great performance in 2011 much like everyone else expected. Rainsford's departure to V8 Champ Car has put a stress on the team and has left them without a good leadership role, and it's definitely impacted their season negatively. Duff knows this more than anyone, as in the past 5 rounds he only has one finish inside the top 30. After his engine failure at the Round of Indianapolis, the #2 team finds themselves in a position they weren't hoping to see, as they've fallen out of the top 20 in points. With Duff's ride at Volpi in jeopardy the team is trying to find any sort of relief they can get so they can collect points and get the team back in the top 10 hunt.
"I'm really not surprised," Duff commented after the race. "That's how our whole season has been so far. If we aren't getting wrecked by someone, our equipment fails on us. I really just wanted to smash my car when I saw the first puff of black smoke from the hood, but I definitely wouldn't put anyone else in harm's way over my frustration and I wouldn't put that kind of burden on my team. We've been losing a lot of time on pit road recently and I think that's because the crew is just so demoralized from our streak of bad luck. I'm trying to save my ride at Volpi if at all possible but the way things are going it doesn't look like I'm getting resigned for next season. I've already been contacted by a couple teams for 2012 if my ride here falls though, and I can breathe a sigh of relief because I've all but secured my TM Master Cup seat for next season. Michigan's coming up, it'll be interesting to see what I can pull off there."

Very nice video, Cooper. This is probably the best video all season.

Because the spoiler text is white to begin with?

The reason for making spoiler text white is that it remains a spoiler inside the spoiler, you just highlight to view the text, if someone can't figure that out...

True, but sometimes, I view this forum on my iPhone, and for those instances, I can't highlight and read the spoilers, unless someone makes the text black

Yes, I realize. But they're driving 220 around Indianapolis Motorspeedway for 104 laps. It's quite astounding, really.

Hey, if we can have great races like this more often, bring 'em on, it was nice seeing all that action. I was just making an observation.

I've been surfing the forums a few weeks before signing up, I know who he is. You guys seem to be a bit paranoid, I'm just a friendly guy from Tennessee who wants to keep up with the TM Canon. Is this a crime?

Re: Race 14: Round of Indianapolis
Why is it that when someone posts stuff related to many or few crashes, they presume it's Boozooka. Crashes aren't exciting but for some reason, a lot of people think that when a car spins, or blows some part of their car or even when TEAMMATES wreck exciting. I'll admit that and don't go calling me Boozooka. I don't live in his country (I can't remeber it because he got banned a long time ago.
Anyways, back on topic

- Adams just glad to get better oval experience
I only wanted to make the race, which I did and I'm better on road courses, so this was really just a learning experience. I'm suprised I didn't go a lap down, and finish where I did, considering how early I lost the lead pack.

Oh yeah, the topic. I forgot this thread had one of those. Anywho, my thoughts on the race...
And one more time, just so we're all on the same page; I am not now, nor have I ever been, Boozooka. Thank you.
- Spoiler:
- This was definitely an amazing race, maybe the best one all season in my opinion. Of course, my favorite driver, Leonid Roderick had...shall we say, less than impressive results. I was happy with the winner, though. Good to see Cooper take home the checkered for the first time since '06. Good to see Rainsford out there as well, what with her recent career move, we might not be seeing her again for a while. Looking forward to Michigan

I'm actually shocked that I finished 15th. How in the hell did I manage that despite not even being in the top 25 for most of the race?
