Cox and Duke have terrible day
"Well...as racers, we are both new to this type of track, so me and Jennifer struggled today. Not much we could have done."

Re: 2017 BAAR Super Pro Series season (Final season results and replays are up!)
ISABELLA MACENA FINISHES 12TH. LOOKING FORWARD TO SOUTH BOSTON.
Shortly after her impressive result at Albuquerque, Isabella Macena finished 12th at Pikes Peak, her worst result in the season, after starting in 16th. "Worst result in the season, the next few tracks are tracks that I personally don't like. I'm preparing myself to South Boston, even if there's races before it, I don't expect too much from them."
Aoi Mizushima, by the other side wasn't calm at all, as she punched the car and questioned the offcials decision to make her start in the rear for the Quaker State 100. "Who was the idiot that had this idea! I could have finished better than I did, but I couldn't because these ******** screwed me!!!!!!" - Aoi said to her team after the race. On a official interview she said: "If wasn't them (officials) I could had a much better result than I did, the only thing I can say is that I finished. With only 3 races in the season, I already know that I'm a longshot for the championship."

Farr excited with top 5
"I am glad we waited for the car to be ready, this #78 was on fire, not quite the #34 car levels of good. But a good run, is a good run and we'll take it."
Leboeuf not happy with result
"This track sucks, we can't pass here. I could easily have gotten a good finish, but cause of the stupid rules I had to start in the back and stay there."

Michaels and Takita both had a sigh relief after climbing out of their cars after a great performance. "These tracks are really great to our cars. We are just so glad that we had a lot of funding for just two cars to run the full schedule. We also got Rei's sister, Haruka racing soon at COTA. That'll be a great race." Mixhaels said for his post-race interview. Rei Takita just walked into the shared RV of her and Michaels and slept the way towards their garage in New Hampshire.

Re: 2017 BAAR Super Pro Series season (Final season results and replays are up!)
Jennifer Duke gets her best career finish while Betty Cox continues to trip down
"It might have been due to the carnage and the craziness of the race, or it might have been we found something here that worked. Regardless of the reason, I am thrilled to get my best finish of 8th today. We finished between 11th-19th the first three races, so I'm hoping this can establish some much needed momentum." - Jennifer Duke
"Getting 6th place at the Daytona road course was a great start, and I thought this being another road course, would give me a chance to do as well or better here, but that wasn't the case. We found trouble early on and this stinks because after that great run at Daytona, I have only gotten 15th, 16th and 17th place finishes. But you know that's racing, sometimes you have what you need and other times you struggle, and right now we are struggling." - Betty Cox

- Spoiler:
- Aubrey Wood: I'm so excited that I had a good day after the last two times we've raced! I've always loved road racing, but I've never raced on a street circuit like this before. And to be honest, I didn't really think it would go so well because I think it's too tight and narrow for what I like. But I started in third and stayed there all day! Now let's keep making up all the points that we need!

Churchill, Inc. to Race in NPCC
Churchill, Inc., a small racing team located outside of Toledo, Ohio, will be fielding two cars in the upcoming race for the National Pro Cup Championship late model series at the Sebring International Raceway in Florida.
The team may sound familiar to racing fans who visit the Toledo Speedway, as well as the Flat Rock Speedway in Michigan. Churchill, Inc. has competed at both of those racetracks in the late model and sportsman classes, and has won multiple feature races at both facilities with their drivers Zack Churchill, son of team-owner Scott, and Brianna Princehorn.
The two young racers will also be competing at the closer-to-home Ohio Motor Speedway in Columbus later in the year. The team's #7 and #84 entries (which will be driven by Princehorn and Churchill, respectively) will be the only two Inglesby's competing in the event. While hoping to perform well, neither the team nor its drivers are expecting a move up from the local ranks of racing in the near future.

Farr Happy Leboeuf not
Alexis Farr sent out a tweet after the race saying she was "happy with her teams performence this week and "she knew it wasn't the fastest car, but it was by far the most consistent of the top teams" meanwhile on the other spectrum Vinny LeBoeuf was livid and stated he felt the cars need serious changes to make them run better on larger tracks.

MAKI TAKAE STARTS 6TH.GABRIEL MACENA STARTS 13TH IN HIS FIRST LATE MODEL START
After the Fedex Super Enduro qualifying session, the Macena Motorsports drivers had mixed reactions:
Maki Takae, will start 6th in her first ever stock car race: "Even being a road course, the car was good enough to give us a good position and I feel that we can do a good race."
Gabriel Macena, will start 13th in his first late model start: " The car was handling somewhat badly but we can do a great result today."
Isabella Macena, will start second-to-last: "It doesn't matter our position we have to finish in the points zone to keep our championship hopes alive."
Aoi Mizushima, starting third-to-last: "My skills won't help me now, we just want to do this shit and get away from here fastest possible to prepare ourselves to South Boston."

Re: 2017 BAAR Super Pro Series season (Final season results and replays are up!)
Debut driver Angelina Hawk edges ahead for pole position as another debut driver, Bridgette Dusablon, to begin in top 15 in her first race. Betty Cox to start 18th coming off last place finish and Jennifer Duke has her work cut out for her to keep top 10 streak alive, starting 23rd.
"First pole in my first start. That's a great way to start a career, even if right now it's on a part time basis. It will be nice to show people what I'm worth after failing to make it past the C-mains in the FARC's Smash Beer 500. I want to silence my mother's criticism and all the critics for that matter." - Angelina Hawk
"I'm excited to make my first start. Have no idea what to expect, so I'm hoping for the best but expecting the worst. I want to do well because my father put so much into making this happen. I don't want to fail him." - Bridgette Dusablon
"At this point, I'm just hoping to get back on track. I am below people in points that didn't even start the first race and even in the case of Farr, the first two races and that really sucks so I'm feeling very discouraged about my chances right now." - Betty Cox
"Starting 23rd isn't exactly ideal but hey, this is the most cars we have ever had to deal with so I am taking it for what it's worth and hope I can make it three in a row for top tens." - Jennifer Duke

Re: 2017 BAAR Super Pro Series season (Final season results and replays are up!)
PSI Forges to Victory @ Seattle
It didn't take long for PSI to make their presence known in the NPCC series. Valorie Forge dominated the field by leading 55 of the 78 laps at the Pacific Northwestern 125. After dispatching several early challengers, Forge seemed right at home zipping around the 1.6-mile concrete surface of the Seattle Motor Speedway in Bellevue, Washington.
"We had a great car today and great pit work to go with it!" an elated Forge shouted. "I really feel at home on these types of tracks. We made the most of starting from P3 today!"
"PSI had been struggling early in the series with mechanical failures, but really seems to be headed in the right direction now," stated William Power. "Budget-wise, we had to modify the bodies and engines from our old ARLA stockpile to use in the NPCC and, well, me missed the mark early on. I think we have things ironed out now."
Forge's teammate Star Banner followed up her 3rd place podium at the Chrono Watches Long Beach Grand Prix with a top 5 finish at Seattle. However, the win only moved Forge up to 15th in the overall points standings-- one point ahead of Banner in 16th. Not too shabby for a team that missed the first race of the season and having both cars retire at the second.
"After what Rip Tyler did in in ARLA in 2012, we at PSI think anything is possible," William Power stated. "We've got 2 good drivers and the team is finding it's footing. Hopefully we'll be a force to to reckoned with the rest of the NPCC season."

MACENA MOTORSPORTS SEASON GOING DOWN THE DRAIN.
After those awesome results at Daytona and Albuquerque shown Macena Motorsports presence known. But going to Pikes Peak, it all fell apart. Their next chance is at Sebring, but the Macena Motorsports road course records of their drivers doesn't help. So they'll be focusing on South Boston, a short track. About the calendar, the Macena Motorsports were very critic about the amount of Road Courses and Speedways.
"I don't know if the others agree with me, but there should be more short tracks in the start of the season. This gets to belittle me and Aoi, short track specialists. Our advantage is that in South Boston a short tracks streak will start, so its our chance to catch up in the standings." - said Isabella Macena

- Spoiler:
Angelina Hawk furious with Chuck Johnson, while Brigitte Dusablon blows motor in her debut as Cox and Duke's Racing struggled
"I can't believe on the second lap that piece of **** runs right into the side of my car and dumps me! The second ****ing lap! I hope the NPCC does something about that piece of **** before I do! That ***** Chuck Johnson has it coming for him!" - Angelina Hawk
"We were having a good run, but lost a header in the car which isn't the way I wanted to start off my debut, but you take it for it for what it's worth and we will be back and maybe next time we will have a better run." - Brigitte Dusablon
"Had a tire go down, and then later got involved in an accident that really shouldn't have happened because an idiot doesn't know where the brakes are. But we did better in this race then we have in the four so I guess that's something." - Betty Cox
"It unfortunate that we couldn't get a third straight top 10. Got involved in an accident that I really couldn't do anything in the way of avoiding. Still, proud of our team and we are always learning and will try to be better next race." - Jennifer Duke

- NPCC @ Sebring: Top 5 Finish for Debutante Princehorn
Many of the one-off entries in the National Pro Cup Championship's most recent race at Sebring impressed throughout the weekend. Among them, Brianna Princehorn scored the best finish, waiting until the main race to show the speed that she lacked in qualifying. The Ohioan placed an impressive 4th after starting the day in the 24th position.
After the conclusion of the event, Princehorn had this to say; "This is awesome; I feel like I won! I don't know how I passed so many cars, but the car felt so much better when the race started than it had all week! I still can't believe I did that well!"
Princehorn's teammate and fellow debutante, Zack Churchill, was not as fortunate as Princehorn. Churchill finished in 17th, having had a tire go down early in the event. "Great job to my teammate for driving the wheels off her car, but I wish that we could've had both cars at the front. I know my car was as fast as Brianna's, and I could've run up there with her if we hadn't lost a tire. "
Churchill, Inc., the team that both Churchill and Princehorn raced for, is expected to race one more time this season, but team-owner Scott Churchill stated that those plans may change. "Our sponsors are really pleased with us about Brianna running as well as she did, so we may be getting a little extra support from them to run another race or two" said Churchill. "Nothing's definite about that at this point, but unless we get a ton more money, we won't be running full-time or anything. This series is way too expensive for any-sized late model teams to compete in, and I really have no idea how any of these late model teams are competing with TM Master Cup teams all year at the tracks that they go to, but we won't be able to do that anytime soon."
Churchill did state, however, that if a potential offer is made to either of his drivers in the future, then they may race for whomever they want.

- Spoiler:
- STELLAR RACE FOR BOTH MACENA AND MIZUSHIMA. MACENA MAY HAD AN ALTERCATION WITH STAR BANNER
After an bad luck string, both Isabella Macena and Aoi Mizushima worked their ways up to clinch top 15 results at South Boston. Altough the night could've gone better for Isabella, as she had an unintentional contact with Star Banner in the closing laps. After the race Isabella may have entered in an altercation with Banner, due to an post-race incident. But this fact has yet to be confirmed.
Isabella: We didn't had a race like this since Albuquerque. We fought our way up, got into some troubles, but that's racing for us, we need to finish races and score points. We need to think about having a good result at Langley, because at VIR we won't race a good race due to our road course history this year.
Aoi: I'm so pleased that we could work our way up from the last position to finish the job in tenth. We worked hard and that's it, I want to have results like this whenever I can.

Gianni Correli will conclude NPCC season early
Italian NPCC team Rossini Sport have announced that the driver of the #15 Silver Stone Management late model, Gianni Correli, will run his last race at prestigious road course event at the Circuit of the Americas. Following a disappointing campaign so far with only 2 top-10's, Correli has planned to step back to the European Late Model Challenge for the remainder of the season in hopes of making a return to the NPCC in 2015 with more confidence and experience.
(OOC: Correli will compete in Round 8-12, but no more following this.)

Cox and Duke, the rookies, struggle again
Neither could be reached for comment due to them leaving the track early after getting 15th and 17th due to getting involved in accidents not of their own doing.

Re: 2017 BAAR Super Pro Series season (Final season results and replays are up!)
Banner to Appeal Penalties, Demerits
An altercation following the race between Star Banner and Isabella Macena has been confirmed. It consisted mostly of shouting, screaming, threatening, and finger pointing and was quickly dispersed when both pit crews were able to corral their respective drivers.
Banner received post race penalties for wrecking the #51 of Macena and the #34 of Parker Whitten after the checkered flag have been waved. Race officials even went so far as to subtract 15 demerit points from Banner.
When asked, Banner defended her actions."We were working on our car and I was under the impression that I could get back out onto the track and log another lap and avoid a DNF. If that's not the case, then that rule needs to be looked at and explained. There were still other cars circling the track as the cars started to file into the pits. I just tried to squeeze into the opening between the #51 and #34 cars."
When pressed about the details of her confrontation with Isabella Macena, Banner was happy to oblige. "I got called into the hauler for that but she spun me on the straight-- THE STRAIGHT!!!! and nothing gets said. I could see if she spun me entering or exiting a turn-- but on the FREAKIN' STRAIGHT! And she gets off Scott free! Give me a break. She needs to be penalized too or mine dropped. I'm appealing this $#!@!!!"
Team owner William Power chimed in with his opinion, "I think she deserves to start at the rear of the next race, but the demerits were a bit of overkill."
Teammate Valorie Forge wasn't able to extend her winning streak to three, but brought home a top 5 finish and Forge has now held onto the 4th spot in overall points. Banner was 20th overall at the race's conclusion, but the demerit points reductions may change that.

Re: 2017 BAAR Super Pro Series season (Final season results and replays are up!)
DERENBERGER RESPONDS TO BANNER'S OUTBURST AND APPEAL
After handing down a 15 point demerit penalty and a ROTF grid penalty on Power Steering, Inc. driver Star Banner, Banner came out and vocally expressed her displeasure for the penalty and defended her actions. Series director Eric Derenberger had this to say on the situation.
DERENBERGER: We felt like Star Banner's actions after the race was completed were out of line, especially since she also damaged the 34 of Parker Whitten, who had nothing to do with the incident. Now, it is not against the rules to log one more lap to avoid a DNF, but I have a hard time believing that she was simply returning to the track for that, considering that she turned Isabella Macena, who was the same driver who spun her on the backstretch, causing the final caution, so I have reason to believe that her actions were retaliatory, and I'm not the only one who thinks this, and such behavior will not be tolerated in our league. Now, we did not penalize Macena for the contact that sent Banner around, but we will look into the matter further and decide whether or not Macena's contact with the 16 will warrant a penalty. As for Banner, the grid penalty will stand regardless, but we will consider reducing her demerit penalty from 15 to 10. We will convene on Tuesday and discuss the matter with series officials, and when we come to a conclusion, we'll hold a press conference later in the afternoon.

Re: 2017 BAAR Super Pro Series season (Final season results and replays are up!)
FINAL WORD: STAR BANNER PENALTIES UPHELD, MACENA ISSUED A WARNING
After discussing whether or not to reduce the demerit points of Star Banner after she and Power Steering, Inc. filed an appeal, series director Eric Derenberger held a press conference to announce their decision.
DERENBERGER: After much discussion and looking back at the footage, series officials have decided that the penalties levied against PSI driver Star Banner will be upheld. Based on what they saw, they have stated that even if Banner's actions were not retaliatory, she still wrecked two cars AFTER THE CHECKERED FLAG, and regardless of the reason, it is considered unacceptable behavior, so her demerit point count will remain at 15.
Also, after reviewing the incident that caused the final caution, in which Isabella Macena spun Star Banner on the backstretch, we have determined that Macena tried to make a three-wide pass and got into the back of Banner, triggering the accident. We have determined that it was a racing incident and no penalty will be assessed to Macena, but she will be issued a warning for avoidable contact, which comes with 5 demerit points.
(OOC: I got a second opinion on the incident, and they agreed that the penalty was justified.)

Cox and Duke finish 14th and 15th
"Still struggling...it's alright...new team new struggles just wish we could do better then what we have been doing" - Betty Cox
"Being underpowered but learning how to drive on all these courses is such a great experience. Finishing 15th might not be ideal to some, but hey, it could have been worse like crashing out." - Jennifer Duke

Macena Motorsports season in NPCC can end early
Isabella: It isn't the result that we wanted, but we're trying to recover ourselves, the next week is our last chance to show some speed. If we don't get a good result in Langley, we're out of contention and maybe out of the series.
Aoi: Our last chance to show some speed is at Langley, if we don't show any pace there, we'll probably move to another series, where we can show any pace........

Confirmation: Isabella Macena season ending at Detroit.
The NPCC season for the Macena Motorsports #51 will end at Detroit, as Isabella Macena will move to another series, which is unknown. The reason is the high costs of taking the cars for the tracks where the season is contested. With this move one of the Macena Motorsports teams is closed for the NPCC.

Re: 2017 BAAR Super Pro Series season (Final season results and replays are up!)
Promising Day at Belle Isle Ends Early for Focus Autosports
Today's running of the Michigan Bear Claws Detroit Grand Prix marked the first time in history that stock cars took to the streets of Belle Isle Park on the island's V8 Champ Car circuit, and the field was led to the green flag by the only Michigan representative in the race; Flint resident Aubrey Wood. Wood, 21, who was born in Ireland, has always been a big fan of V8CC racing, and attended multiple races at the Belle Isle Circuit as a child. The team that she drives for, Focus Autosports, is also based in Michigan, in the city of Grand Rapids.
Wood won the Pepsi Max Pole Award for the first time in her career, but she would lose the lead on lap 11 when she made contact with the tire barriers lining turn 3, causing damage that would force her to pit for repairs. Three laps later, her damaged, ill-handling Lenard struck the tires lining turn 8, putting an end to her day at the halfway point of the event.
After her retirement, reporters caught up with the rookie. While she appeared dejected, she still had positive words to say about the race. "I was having a blast, my car felt great, but I took the entry too wide and couldn't save it. It was fun for the first 10 laps, though! Leading to the start here was the coolest thing I've done in racing, and my friends and family were here to see it. There's two places where I've wanted to race my whole life: Indianapolis and here."
Wood appeared to have more to say, but began to have difficulty finding words. All that she would say before walking away was, "It was great to be here."
The race would be won by Star Banner and the TM Master Cup Series team Power Steering, Inc. Aubrey Wood will enter the eleventh round at Edmonton with a 12th-place rank in the points standings, tied with Banner for the position.

Re: 2017 BAAR Super Pro Series season (Final season results and replays are up!)
Jennifer Duke ruins her day on lap 1, as Betty Cox breaks her own heart
Reports have been circulating around the team haulers that Betty Cox was very upset with herself, because of potential best run and first career win just a few laps away, she went into tires in turn three. She was reported seeing smashing the front of her car in with first her fists and then a sledgehammer, before being restrained and taken away from the garage area. The frustration has become overwhelming due to her not having a single top 10 since the first race of the season. Jennifer Duke was around for a good portion of the race...but in the garage after avoiding some trouble in front of her, she made her own trouble by hitting the tires and ruining the engine on the first lap of the race.
"That is surely not the way Betty wanted to finish. We are a new team and needed a good run and we are having no such luck having that right now. When your a small team and you have all these super teams around you, it makes it really hard to be competitive. And so when you have a chance like she did, and crack, you get really upset. I was mad at myself too since I wrecked my car on lap one. This team is just going through some hard times right now." - Jennifer Duke

Re: 2017 BAAR Super Pro Series season (Final season results and replays are up!)
Bridgette Dusablon starting 19th as Angelina Hawk starts 22nd, two contenders of Prestigious races have their work cut out for them to do the best they can. Betty Cox to start 27th as Jennifer Duke has her work cut out for her starting 31st out of 34 cars.

Re: 2017 BAAR Super Pro Series season (Final season results and replays are up!)
Posting this from work.
I apologize for not having The Memorial race up sooner, but I currently have no internet at my new apartment and it could take up to 2-3 weeks to get it hooked up. Blargh. :/
As soon as I have internet, The Memorial will be posted, and there might be a windfall of other videos as well. Thank you for your patience.

Finally, The Memorial is up. I apologize for the long wait, since its been nearly two months since the last race, but as I said before, I had some internet problems that were finally ironed out today. So, without further ado, The Memorial 2014 at the Circuit of the Americas. Enjoy.
