Nightwish and the Chipmunks/Nightwish with Within Temptation's singer.
Oddly enough I like this more than the original. Probably because I prefer Within Temptation to Nightwish any day...

This.
Within Temptation is awesome. I know certain people complain that Within Temptation is "not the same" like it used to be but I could care less, being that I'm open to various types of music. I love the latest album that they came out, but IMO, I don't think anything can beat the Mother Earth album, just because of its originality.

Re: The Music Thread
Over the last few months of getting into dubstep, I think I found a couple of artists that I like. One of which is Nero. The songs are always changed up, which is what I like. The other is the Glitch Mob. They make REALLY good beats with their songs and I'm officially sold and hooked on them. I've been listening to more of their songs (both Nero and The Glitch Mob) and been liking them more by the day.
Nero (my favorite song they've made):

It's not like Within Temptation did what Queensryche did post-Tribe (other than Mindcrime 2, total shit) or anything...

Re: The Music Thread
Hey that sounds familiar!
Symphonic metal is pure awesome when done properly, but it's not as well known because the people that do it aren't pop singers that sing out of their range (a certain Firework comes to mind), idiot rappers wasting all the artistic possibilities that the genre allows, or emo trash that have been playing the same basic thing for 15 years.
I think I've stated in this thread that I'm a fan of Lady GaGa (I like her voice, maybe it's because I used to sing in that range!), but that's about it as fair as mainstream acts go (in America, anyway, I dig European techno sometimes).

I hate Lady gaga, her "music" annoys the crap out of me. But then again I hate most mainstream pop trash.

This may or may not be the greatest thing that has ever been created in the history of the world, no, not the world, all of time. And thank you to every single person that is responsible for this. God Bless America.

I don't know if this is the right place to mention this, but my Steve Nervo, from La Flavour, is my uncle. He sang Mandolay.
Re: The Music Thread
Someone sent me a link to the Moldova entry from 2010 (apparently I HAD TO KNOW that it was where Epic Sax Guy came from) and I found this. I was surprised with how good it was. I never get to watch Eurovision, but I might if there's more acts like that.

Re: The Music Thread
If you've been watching Toonami, you will easily recognize these 2 songs.
I posted this in the background music thread in another section except this has the lead singer in it:
Toonami just used this song in a short compilation last Saturday and has an old school beat to it:
I've also heard some of the leaked Gojira songs that's in the new album (which will be released here next week) and from the songs I've heard so far, I'm really liking them.
