- Washington Prevails at Piqua
Rookie Scott Washington won the TM Lights at Piqua, scoring his first win in only his forth start in the series. "I said after Clairmont that it was the best day of my life...but this might be better. Never thought this would happen this early in the year. It's incredible. This team is dedicated and some of the best in the business." Washington's win is the first for a rookie in 2013 and the third for an African American in a TM sanctioned event. The series' next race is at Peiora in two weeks time.

- Lane Cranston: "We had a great run. I caught up to Scott [Washington] for a moment there when he was stuck behind Vijay [Pushanda], but as soon as I got there, Scott lapped him. We spent a lot of the early part of the race on the outside, and that's not the line here. I think if I'd gotten an odd-numbered qualifying spot, our chance of winning would've gone up. I'm sorry about dumping Thurston [Blood] towards the end there, but I was trying to get to Scott as quickly as I could to see if we still had a chance to win. But second is our best finish yet, so we know now we can go one spot better in the future."

- Spoiler:
- Brinson Brings Home Another Top 5
After a superb showing by owner/driver Matt Brinson at Road Atlanta, Brinson yet again shows some muscle at finishes a very strong 3rd at Piqua.
Brinson: Very proud of the boys, we worked really hard on this short track chassis and I really drove the wheels off of it out there for them.
We had to battle back because of how pitstops played out; we were one of the guys who were shuffled back to the tail end of the lead lap but we really never gave up because we had such a great car. The closing stages were particularly hairy with the lap traffic but I had a great battle with Jaeger there at the end for third. Overally, I'm simply ecstatic with how well we have rebounded these past two races and I hope we can continue to ride the momentum.

- Spoiler:
- Matt Brinson: Fairly quiet run today, I'll take 13th with a fairly lackluster car. Stayed out of trouble and I'm glad that we can continue to finish somewhat consistent as of late. Proud of the guys as we continued to battle a tight race car throughout most of the race.
