Ashley Tucker okay after huge Peoria crash; refuses to take blame for accident


Ashley Tucker was having a career day when she was up front after a stellar qualifying run, however, this was brought to an abrupt end after a chaotic lap 55 crash in which 17 cars were involved and Tucker went flipping. Tucker managed to get out of her car unhurt before walking over to Cameron Taylor's car. Tucker reportedly started yelling at Taylor through the drivers side window before walking away from the car.

"The idiot came over into me." said Tucker "I swung it out wide to get a run in. I knew he was on my inside, and I tried to hold the middle. He tried to swing it out later when I was already there, and it started the whole mess." 

Tucker is coming off her first ever top 5 finish at Piqua, but before that, she failed to score points, and it seems like the dismal streak of bad runs may be coming back to her.

UPDATE: Olenick Breaks Wrist in Peoria Crash

Team CTR driver Joe Olenick has been diagnosed with a fractured wrist following the TM Lights race in Peoria. He initially went to the hospital after the lap 51 pileup complaining of pain in his left wrist and back.

Olenick was reportedly heard talking to his team in the hospital, saying "I can live with it. A fractured wrist is better than a broken back. I can still race with this, at least."

CTR officials say there are no plans to have anyone substitute for Olenick, as he is confident he can race while his wrist heals.

Harris OK after hard contact with Tucker, livid with Azure

Archer Harris, after slamming into Ashley Tucker, which escalated the mammoth wreck on lap 51, was able to climb out under his own power, but had this to say following:

"Yeah, I'm fine, got the breath knocked out of me, that's for sure. But let me tell you, Frank Azure, I don't know what the hell happened with him. You take Zavala out, and then you get me involved in this mess? I guess the stuff I hear about Frank being a wrecking ball is true. I appreciate it, asshat. And by the way, sorry Ashley [Tucker], didn't mean to kill your car." Harris said, in an interview during the red flag.

Holiday Jr scores career best finish.

Steve Holiday Jr, gets a 4th place finish after a great race, he spent most of the race in the top 10. He is now 16th in the standings.

"We missed a wreck, but aside from that we had a great race. Everything was spot on! 4th a amazing finish for our little team!

Lane Cranston: "I'm relieved that we were able to score points, to be honest. Our car wasn't very good all weekend, and we missed being in that big wreck. It's a big letdown to have such a bad weekend after our runner-up finish at Piqua."

- 15 points for causing an avoidable collision.

Taylor Accepts Responsibility for Collision

Cameron Taylor was apologetic for his involvement in the lap 51 accident that took out many of the leading cars in the TM Lights race at Peoria. "There were lots of things involved; spotter confusion, the narrowness of the track but it comes down to the fact that I was racing to hard. It wasn't for a position and it was early in the race. I think our team should bring back the green livery of late last year because my spotter is getting the our car confused with the 67. I don't blame him. We might be making that change or a similar one" Taylor said after being released from a nearby hospital.

+1. If you can't by a slower car without wrecking them, don't try passing them.

You can't really use that argument when she had one of the fastest cars on track, and when the 68 was a lap down
