While it was a bit of a fail fest, good to see another first time winner in Simon. I liked seeing James Jakes finish second. He's been steadily improving over the last year in a half.

Clearly someone forgot to tell them this isn't the Second Race at a ARLA Elite weekend. Otherwise, good racing on the whole. Couldn't be happier for the winners, and shoutout to Jakes for getting a well earned second.

Reject of the Weekend: Sebastien Bourdais. No excuse for causing a 10-car pileup.

Bourdais wouldn't have piled into the back of Will Power had Power not slowed suddenly. Looked like Power was too busy pretending he was Michael Schumacher chopping of Vautier, had to take the corner really slowly at the same time Bourdais made a hell of a start. Bourdais probably would have made the corner or just poked the back of Power, because I certainly would have expected Power to not slow down like that.

I loved Power's interview, especially because he laughed at his own failed attempt at humor and Bourdais has won more championships than Power has choked away.

Besides, at least both Bourdais and Power completed a lap, unlike a certain former NASCAR driver and former one-man highlight reel...
