I think it's time to see SAFER barriers installed. I don't care how much it's cost. You can't put a price on drivers' lives.
Aside, it's been a good race overall.
You don't need SAFER barriers, just get tire barriers!
I'd be more inclined for SAFER barriers than tire barriers. You'd need possibly tens of thousands of tires to line the Armcos at Le Mans.

Personally just anything that doesn't explode from light contact like those guardrails did.crl wrote:f1fan12 wrote:bigdc48 wrote:Looks likes Audi gonna be victorious unless something drastic occurs.

It's bad when one of most prestigious races turns into a joke cause of those guradrails, One guy i was talking to gave up on the race after like the 3rd or 4th long yellow for wall repair.

Was it Dale Earnhardt that said something along the lines of "I'd rather they have to fix the wall than scrape me off of it"? I think he was referring to the styrofoam barriers at the road courses at the time.

Considering most of the track is just street roads, SAFER barriers will not work.

I think it was Jimmie Johnson when he had that crash at the Glen like over a decade ago. Not sure though.Mystrsyko wrote:Was it Dale Earnhardt that said something along the lines of "I'd rather they have to fix the wall than scrape me off of it"? Re: 2013 24 Hours of Le Mans
The majority of the armco is there for the public highway already, so it would be illogical to position safer barriers around a motorway which would only be used for 3 weeks a year.crl wrote:f1fan12 wrote:bigdc48 wrote:Looks likes Audi gonna be victorious unless something drastic occurs.
