BIG NEWS: Microsoft have apparently dropped the Xbone's always-on DRM. Here's a link to the announcement.

Still too late though. I haven't heard anything price wise so PS3 is still cheaper. Anywoo I've gotten all offline trophies in NASCAR 2011 The Game, and had to take a picture of Kevin Harvick to get the last trophy, which was weird.

That. I'm still leaning towards buying a PS4 but this makes my decision a bit tougher.

Re: The Video Game Thread
Tonight I finished career mode in NASCAR Thunder 2004 (one of the few EA NASCAR games that I personally like).
For those who don't know, career mode in that game is basically 20 seasons in a row as Winston Cup Series driver. As the game was created at the same time that NR2003 was, the cars and drivers stay relatively the same as they were in 2003 all the way to 2022, although certain drivers will retire and/or be replaced. I "cheated" by using only 12-race seasons, but it still took me six years to complete! (I did the first race of the 2003 season back in 2007, as a ten-year-old, and just finished the 2022 season tonight!)
I may post the 2022 lineup according to my game later. It's interesting to see what drivers have been placed where. Sort of like that alternate NASCAR universe that Mother of Invention made a while ago.

Good news for the Xbone: Don Mattrick has left Microsoft, and is apparently heading to Zynga. This can only mean good things, considering how his awful failings at PR have done the Xbone no favours at all.

So this game I play, called Automation, just had a new patch which allows people who have bought the game to visually design there own cars. As in, sculpt a body, and add fixtures like head/tail lights, grillls and vents and what-not. Pretty fun stuff. Here's two cars I've designed at this point. (One of them is the Wernstrom 256, which will have Automation branding for Karjala)

This is looking quite good actually especially if it keeps being developed it, it'd be nice if they bough it out on console. I've only ever seen one other type of Car Tycoon game and I got hold of a copy only to find that it was unfinished and kept breaking.

Technically yes. They're doing the Minecraft model of buy in, and get all the goodies. But huge chunks of the game are still to be developed, namely the whole tycoon part of the game. I mean, it's a 2 man dev team. But for new stuff that is constantly being added they got a beta squad to test it before it does to the masses.

Well then. But still I feel like 6 hours isn't that much of a stretch. Only time consuming thing I can think off is the gang wars prior to the final mission.

I made the mistake of pre-ordering it a few weeks before it's reported release earlier this year. If i can get a PSN Card, i'll pre-order in the PS Store, EB Games, will likely be packed & out of copies & wait a week to be in store, or I can't go to a midnight release, cause all of my friends have college (since i'm working a full year before i go, and i have no transportation.Spannerhead29 (Nelson) wrote:I've had it Pre-Order since December 2011. For all of the League of Legends players on here, this is the Week 37 Free Champion Rotation:
http://na.leagueoflegends.com/en/news/champions-skins/free-rotation/new-free-champion-rotation-season-three-week-37
I play on the North America server, along with Dkracer, 24batista24, RandomClassic and to an extent, bartman. I've been playing the longest (since late May), but most of the time that I play with less experienced players, I play less seriously.
When I do play a bit more seriously (I don't play ranked games yet -- I want to dodge that black hole known as Bronze rank), I play either top lane with (Redeemed) Riven (as my avatar suggests) or Fiora, or mid lane with (Pool Party) Ziggs or Veigar.
To anyone who does decide to play, be open to having a bunch of really, really rough games early, and be open to trying many different champions out until you find someone that you can play decently well with. Keep in mind that some champions (Master Yi, Jinx, Teemo, and Urgot, to name a few) are pretty overpowered, and if you play public games, people will be buttmad if you suck. Don't worry about them, sometimes they can be funny.
It's free to play, all the paid content is optional, really.
