What a shame to see him so defeated on the pit wall.Alta wrote:Field set as Jourdain's team has called it game over.

They said earlier on NBCSN that Graham Rahal drove Jourdain's car for a few laps and was saying the same thing, but the more I'm watching this the more I agree with this. IMO, I think Bobby Rahal should have put another driver in the car that had a better chance to win the 500, let alone be competitive at all.
They were considering Tomas Scheckter, but went with Jourdain instead.
Field is now set:
1. 20 - Ed Carpenter
2. 26 - Carlos Muñoz
3. 25 - Marco Andretti
4. 5 - EJ Viso
5. 2 - AJ Allmendinger
6. 12 - Will Power
7. 1 - Ryan Hunter Reay
8. 3 - Hélio Castroneves
9. 27 - James Hinchcliffe
10. 4 - JR Hildebrand
11. 98 - Alex Tagliani
12. 11 - Tony Kanaan
13. 22 - Oriol Servià
14. 19 - Justin Wilson
15. 7 - Sébastien Bourdais
16. 9 - Scott Dixon
17. 10 - Dario Franchitti
18. 14 - Takuma Sato
19. 83 - Charlie Kimball
20. 16 - James Jakes
21. 77 - Simon Pagenaud
22. 60 - Townsend Bell
23. 8 - Ryan Briscoe
24. 78 - Simona de Silvestro
25. 21 - Josef Newgarden
26. 15 - Graham Rahal
27. 6 - Sebastian Saavedra
28. 55 - Tristan Vaultier
29. 18 - Ana Beatriz
30. 63 - Pippa Mann
31. 41 - Conor Daly
32. 91 - Buddy Lazier
33. 81 - Katherine Legge

Personally i believe it was the car. If it was based of talent in 2013 terms...i honestly believe Lazier would've been the one sent packing.

The Freedom 100 Entry List has 11 Cars. so much for a 15 car field after all.
I would give you the entry list straight up, but that would be against the rules of this board, since the list is a PDF File.
Entry List is on indycar.com/roadtoindy

Sarah Fisher's driver for the Freedom 100, Kyle O'Gara, went to the same high school as me and I ran cross country with his cousin. I hope the guy does well.

No it's not, because you're linking to the original source. I don't know where you got that from...

You cannot comprehend the anger i have over missing the finish (albeit due to a different factor)
Awesome finish though. Finish of the year by far though.

This is something you would see off of a scripted Hollywood movie. I can't believe I missed it either.
Watching that finish reminded me of this:
If this is any indication of what the Indy 500 could be like on Sunday, oh boy, are we in for one hell of a race?

I just had to post that, never seen such a great finish quite like that. It makes for a great potential Indy 500 as well.
Re: 2013 Indianapolis 500
Hopefully the finish of this race will convert over to Sunday's 500. That was one of the greatest finishes I've ever seen in my life.

Re: 2013 Indianapolis 500
I was at work when this happened, so I didn't get to see it live in its full glory, sadly. But I watched it on YouTube, and my reaction was...
I REALLY hope this is what we're looking forward to in the 500. As if I didn't need to be jacked up for Indy enough, but now that Lights finish turned the expectations for the 500 up to 11 and ripped the knob off.
I seriously think IndyCar has replaced NASCAR as my favorite form of motorsport. We'll find out for sure this Sunday.

Ana Beatriz' focus on the race is out the window. She was just proposed to. Her answer was that she'd think about it and answer after the race.
