Didn't Ned Jarrett apologize to Dale Earnhardt, Sr. afterwards for cheering on his son? I remember Dale, Sr. saying something like, "Ned, I'm a daddy, too."day500champ1 wrote:Had to look this up to make sure, but I was right.

They're doing some sort of pre-order deal that will allow you to drive IndyCars in GRID 2, but nothing about a dedicated Indy game.

I think DW's call of the 2001 500 finish was worse than Ned in that.

I don't think either call was all that bad. I can understand why they would both cheer on family, so I won't bash them for that. I find it funny that during most ESPN broadcasts, Rusty Wallace doesn't acknowlage that Steven is his son.

Hello, I was once known as Rovenami on the EFR forums to say that I am deeply and most sincerely apologize for all the stuff I have posted prior to being banned from this forum, especially to the people I have ticked off in the Dan Wheldon thread and to the admins and moderators, most notably Cynon, Snake, antknee, Ceej, etc. What I did that got me banned from the EFR forums not only made me look like an immature noob, but it was also an insult to me, the EFR forums, the sim-racing community and worst of all...it was an insult to NR2003 itself. With this, I give to you, the members of the EFR forums, my apologies for all the damage I have caused that led me to be banned from the EFR forums.

Got our interwebs upgraded at the homestead. Was running the 3 mb/s AT&T DSL but now we've got the super-deluxe 11 mb/s dealie. (UVerse just arrived in my area, in case anyone was wondering.)
Upshot: pages load much faster. Also means that I might finally attempt online racing!

115 years ago, a young Italian was born in Modena. Known as "il Commendatore", he was the pioneer of Italian engineering creating such cars as the 125S, the 250, the 365 GTB/4 "Daytona" and the F40. His name was Enzo.

I was down at the McKinley Monument in Canton. I have an interesting connection with William McKinley. My Great-great-great-great grandfather served with him in the 23rd Ohio Regiment in the Civil War.

Today was our 6th snow day of the year, which came right after a 3 day weekend. We've only been to school 14 days in the past 4 weeks!

I think my school was one of the few school that were open today in Michigan. I had to walk out into the blizzard 3 times today just to get to my classes since my high school uses 2 buildings.

Geez, that to me shows how odd Michigan weather can be. We had at most a dusting and my car which has been outside all day does even have anything on it.
Re: Random Discussion Thread
My school has only had one snow day this year which is fine by me, cause we get a four day weekend this weekend since we haven't used up all our snow days. Woulda been a five day weekend, but that one snow day...

Somebody released a top 100 list of the coolest Nascar paint schemes. Needless to say, they were obviously not fimilar with Nascar.

Some of the listings were diecast only specials and 2 werent even Nascar. Without looking, guess what #1 was.

I also find #3 interesting; it's a nice-looking tribute, but it's kind of ironic having a huge American flag on a Toyota!
