Wow big crash for Danica, that wasn't her fault.
Brad got VERY lucky.

Not like Bowyer was gonna win the title anyway. Park Gordon for Homestead, give him a 6-race probation for 2013, but to take points away from him in a season that hasn't even started??????

Heading to Homestead...
1. Brad Keselowski
2. Jimmie Johnson -21
Maybe next time we'll listen to me, anti-Jimmie brigadiers

Just as I predicted, The typical Short Track/Crashfest/Ragefest (though after seeing the video, its reached a sad and sickening new low)

Maybe it was a little bit of an overreaction but you have to admit it was a very stupid and immature thing to do.

Sad how it took a driver to take out a championship contender, then for gutless crew to gang up on him and then for said driver taken out to go and try and fight the guy, followed by a colossal screwup by NASCAR to make for an "Exciting race". Pathetic, and I'm only reading the comments here. Sickening is all I have to say.

You kind of contradicted your statement. Bowyer wasn't going to win anyway, so it wouldn't have mattered if Gordon wrecked him or not. Loving how everybody's going "OMG SUSPENSION FOR GORDON FOR ALL OF ETERNITY!111!" when Bowyer wouldn't have had a real shot regardless. Parking him for Homestead is enough of a facewall. FlashRod4, I have no idea where your head was when you posted that. if Gordon deserves a points penalty, then Kyle Busch should have been suspended for the rest of 2011 with that logic.

Gordon needs to retire, I'm so glad people agree with my my hatred of him. It'd be so awesome if Regan Smith drives the Jeff Gordon Debut 20th annerversiry (I can't spell) at Homestead.
I'm actually sad for Danica for getting wrecked out of a top 15.

I am convinced that Brian Barnhart was the race director and that Randy Bernard was running the show. There's no excuse for that crap we saw at the end.
Also, I saw Jeff Gordon crying like it was 1997...

Re: Advocare 500(k)- Sprint Cup Series
Just cause he's out realistically didn't mean mathematically...What if Jimmie has the same luck 2 weeks in a row...what if BK wrecked at the end and blew it at Homestead what if Bowyer went clutch in the final race. Bowyer had an outside shot yes but was still in it mathematically. Nascar needs to go with a suspension to #1. Set a precident #2. Not go back on their word #3. Cool the sharks out for Gordon's blood.Casey Lester wrote:pennst24 wrote:FlashRod4 wrote:NO.NeverNeutral wrote:Knee-jerk reaction much?FlashRod4 wrote:Deserves a 5-race suspension, carrying over into 2013. That move was something i'd expect out of the Gibbs brigade, but out of well-respected 4 time champion Jeff Gordon...That is absolute bullshit and I've lost a lot of respect for Gordon.

Re: Advocare 500(k)- Sprint Cup Series
Ok, since I didn't watch the race, lemme piece together what happened, from what I have heard...
Jeff Gordon got spun by Bowyer
Gordon was black flagged (I assume dragging something or had to get his car fixed in the pits).
Gordon stays out, and hunts down Bowyer.
If that is what happened, at least 1 race, and maybe a multi-race suspension is in order, especially since someone else ended up getting caught up that should not have been caught up in that crap

Re: Advocare 500(k)- Sprint Cup Series
I still can't believe Gordon decided that the best place to settle this (by sending someone flying across the track, no less) was RIGHT IN FRONT of the championship leader. If Kez is just a bit closer to Logano's rear, he's all up in that mess, no doubt.

I'm calling it now...
Gordon gets a slap on the wrist. As does Bowyer. Keslowski gets a 25 point penalty for going on a swear-filled triade in the media center after the race.

Feel like I've been punched in the gut today. How he could pull that is beyond me. Should get suspended for Homestead and be put on a 12-race probation for next season, nothing more.
NASCAR got what they wanted I guess, gonna be on SportsCenter for a day, then be pushed back behind handegg, stickroid, and all the other sports.

If they do that, all hell breaks loose. NASCAR CAN'T be able to explain why someone put someone's else life in danger like that, and only get a slap on the wrist, yet someone drops a few bombs, and they act like he just murdered someone.

Remember it's Nascar, they get very strict when it comes to swearing. AKA Actions Detremental to Stock Car Racing! So it honestly won't suprise me if Kez gets some sort of penalty.

Kes just earned himself a new fan with that rant. Spot on. (Plus the fact he's in the Blue Oval Brigade next year.)
On the other hand, if NASCAR does slap him with a points penalty I won't bother watching Homestead. If I want to watch something scripted I'll watch WWE.

Re: Advocare 500(k)- Sprint Cup Series
I was never a fan of Brad Keselowski. But I am now. He is absolutely right. Driving hard is one thing. That was Keselowski at Talladega, Edwards at Gateway, Villeneuve at Montréal, Earnhardt...everywhere. But what we witnessed today is absolute bullsh*t. Totally unprofessional. If that happened at my high school everybody would be like "what a couple of losers"...

NASCAR did dock him a few positions after Talladega to keep Jimmie Johnson in the hunt -- I wouldn't at all be surprised if that happens.
