Re: 2012 NFL Season
I'd like to see the Calvin Johnson get 2,000 yards by the end of next week. Same goes for Adrian Peterson, and beating Eric Dickerson's record as well.

Peterson needs 206 Yards next week... only got 86 today
PATS & RG3 WON!
Re: 2012 NFL Season
Well, we're down to one week. In the AFC, it has already been decided which teams will be in the playoffs. As for the NFC, there are 3 spots remaining for 5 teams to get into the post season. All the Redskins have to do is beat the Cowboys, and they will claim their division. For the Vikings and Bears, it can go either way if either team wins or loses. The Cowboys need to be in the clutch in order to get into the playoffs, along with some help. Of course, the Giants. They will need a miracle in order to get into the playoffs. From here on out, anything can happen.

To be fair, I probably voted for those Chiefs players, because I'm a fan of the Eagles and Panthers, both NFC teams, and the Chiefs are AFC.

Re: 2012 NFL Season
In my opinion, I think there are going to be a bunch of tight games this weekend, especially with the Seahawks-Redskins. Should be good! My picks:
Bengals vs. Texans-They've faced each other last year in the post season with the Texans winning the game. They've been losing momentum as of late and with the Bengals winning the last couple of games of the season that were considered to be critical, I think the Bengals will take the W this time.
Vikings vs. Packers-I like to consider this the upset of the weekend. I haven't really considered the Vikings a playoff team until I realized they have actually started playing rather well. Seeing them beat the Packers last weekend is giving me the impression they can beat them again.
Colts vs. Ravens-Hmm. This is tough. Both teams have their own stories to tell. The Colts have made an inspiring run to get into the post season after making major changes in the off season and the head coach dealing with Leukemia during the season. Ray Lewis just announced that he'll be retiring after the playoffs so I'm sure the Ravens will be extra motivated to play well this weekend, but in the end, I feel the Colts could end up winning this one.
Seahawks vs. Redskins-The one match I'm most looking forward to this weekend. 2 rookie QBs making their post season debut and are looking to impress a lot of people. If they were playing at Seattle, I would've picked the Seahawks with their 12th man playing a role like always. Since they're playing in D.C., I think this can be a close game between the 2 and I think the 'Skins will pull off the win in O.T.

Re: 2012 NFL Season
Texans have been terrible to watch in December. They don't have a secondary. I think the Bengals will throw the ball up and down the field on Saturday. The Texans do have an offense, but it's their defense that will kill them.

It was like the Bengals never learned their mistakes from last year. Their defense was the reason why they actually had a chance at winning the game.

Re: 2012 NFL Season
Lets hope one of the teams I pick this weekend will win this time:
Ravens vs. Broncos- Despite the Broncos having a rough start to the season, they've managed to win 11 straight games and is the only team in the NFL that has a top 5 offense AND defense. I'm sure the Ravens will be playing the best they can to get Ray Lewis to another Super Bowl before he retires but I think the Broncos will run away with this one.
Packers vs. 49ers-Man. This is a tough one. Since the Packers got a bunch of their starters last weekend and won with no problem (with Christian Ponder not playing for the Vikings, that is), the Packers might win this one in a close game.
Seahawks vs. Falcons- Knowing how the Falcons don't like to win in the post season and the Seahawks having a lot of momentum, it's likely that the 'Hawks will win in the Georgia Dome.
Texans vs. Patriots- I'd like to see the Texans destroy the Patriots in this game but it'll probably be the other way around in this match-up.
Ravens vs. Broncos- Despite the Broncos having a rough start to the season, they've managed to win 11 straight games and is the only team in the NFL that has a top 5 offense AND defense. I doubt that highly. The Broncos haven't faced anyone good since October, save for the banged-up versions of the Ravens and Bengals (their opponents after week 5 finished 32 - 64 on the year). Peyton Manning stinks in the cold weather, and the Ravens finally have the offense as a whole figured out. It will be a very close game if both teams play to their potential, and it could easily go either way.
I can't disagree with the other picks though.

Re: 2012 NFL Season
Well, at least I managed to get one pick right (and almost 2 other picks right) last weekend. Looking forward to these games on Sunday. These picks are a little biased but I have my reasons for picking which 2 teams will make it into the Super Bowl:
49ers vs. Falcons- The 49ers played surprisingly well (IMO) against the Packers and Kaepernick proved he can be pretty dangerous. The Falcons, on the other hand, looked like they were easily going to win against the Seahawks and turns out they got pretty lucky at the end of that game. With the 49ers being in the same position as they were last year, except they're playing away, I think they can pull off this win.
Ravens vs. Patriots- Let me start off by saying that there's no Billy Cundiff to worry about (although there were other players on the Ravens that have made mistakes in last year's AFC Championship game). They've proven they can beat the Patriots in the regular season (with the replacement refs playing a role in the game) and are on a roll right now after making what's considered to be an upset by beating the Broncos. The Patriots are looking to get into the Super Bowl for a second year in a row and I think the Ravens have what it takes to win it this time. Seriously, I hope the Ravens make it into the Super Bowl.
