2012 RROL Season
A number of users and myself have decieded to bring back the RROL Elite Series for 2012. I do not have NR2003 yet, but others have volunteered to run races until I get it. Thank you (you know who you are). The series will run the default cup mod and will run a mixed schedule of road races and oval races exclusively in America (although Clairmont will remain). If anyone has suggestions for this it would be a huge help.

New RROL formed, invites teams to join
The new investment group that started up a VSCC replacement league tenitively called the RROL had announced that they will invite numerous racing teams to join in 2012. "We want to have many of the former VSCC teams in our league, because they are part of our heritage. We hope to have teams such as Rick Jarrett Racing, Watts Motorsports, Team STRIKE, Greg Johnson Racing, Reed Racing, James Proctor Racing, and many others race here. Additionally we have invited some of the big development teams for the TM Master Cup Series, such as the Saar Junior Program, Roderick Motorsports, and others to join. Hopefully we can create a strong development series for the 2012 season, a representive said.

Re: 2012 RROL Season
From what I can tell from what I've heard from everyone involved, Woody okayed this.
I advise you stick to tracks in North America, preferably all-short tracks with a few speedways and road courses thrown in. For the sake of the series, test the tracks out (I use the old GRL cars because if the GRL cars can not wreck like crazy then it's safe) before you run official races.
Also, don't be afraid of having a race be boring, a boring race is very easy for a novice to cover. Just make sure there isn't stupid stuff like the Spa/Karjala pitwall frenzy happening and you'll probably do okay.
Don't get over your head with the number of cars in the field. Most NR2003 tracks hold at least 30 cars, and qualifying races can be a pain in the ass. I would recommend having 42 cars only, and if you run into a track that holds less than 42, split the field in two and run two races at the same track (21 cars each).
Canon-wise, I'd say this would be a feasible place for all the old TMMC/ARLA cars to go.
Also, you might want to establish what RROL stands for -- which I believe is why Woody switched the name to VSCC -- but RROL could for all I know be the title sponsor.

Re: 2012 RROL Season
RROL to visit old TMMC venues?
A strong rumor circulating through the racing community has suggested that the newly formed RROL is seeking to visit many tracks that the TM Master Cup Series no longer visits. The series has stated they want to go to "all corners of America" holding races in the Midwest, South, New England, West Coast, etc. A race at the Seattle Motor Speedway appears to be a serious possibility. The Seattle venue last held Master Cup racing in 2008. The schedule is expected to be dominated by sub-1.5 mile ovals and road courses. "There'll probably be one superspeedway, but that's it. A large amount of superspeedway racing isn't the best thing for a development series. A little bit is allright, but too much may be asking for trouble". The series will likley run exclusively in North America. This is differant from the original RROL, which raced at Motegi in Japan, numerous tracks in Britain, Karjala, and on the oval in France (a race that say Fred Hackson's fatal accident). In fact, both of the RROL's two on track fatalities, Hackson and Krisjian Jankovic, occured outside of the United States.

I will also be running a few races, likely not many, but a few anyways. Videos are guranteed.
Also, I'm working on a banner/contig for the RROL to use, possibly (something I will likely show Alpine tomorrow). Any suggestions? I got a rough copy, but want to add something.

This is something I've very guilty of this last season... I can't really say what I was thinking at the time, just try not to get so worried about a race being too boring.

Im glad the series is going to stay around, alot of teams have put alot of hard work time and money to be successful in this series. It would be a shame to see all that hard work amount to nothing. With that being said I want to keep my team in the RROL, its become a home for us. I do have a few questions about the buyout such as will teams with mulitple cars be able to keep them? Will owners points be taken away? Things of that nature. Hopefully we can figure these things out in a timely fasion so owners, drivers, crew members even sponsors can know if they would like to contunie running is this series.

Re: 2012 RROL Season
A few tracks that have been considered for the 2012 schedule: Daytona, Road Atlanta, Carbondale, Michigan, Seattle, New Jersey, Dover, Indianapolis Raceway Park, Clairmont, Iowa, Pheonix, Colorado National Speedway, New Hampshire, Kansas, Decatur, and Cleveland.
This is not the official schedule and there are more tracks I didn't mention.
===
Multi car teams are allowed.
It wouldn't be the RROL without some of the long time RROL drivers (such as James Proctor).

#15 -- Pierre Eiffel or Hunter Downs perhaps? May switch to #00, or #08 if possible. It all depends on what's available.
#16 -- Sting is in Formula Overdrive right now. Can he run in both? I may have to bring Pete Maverick back with a completely new sponsor or possibly Citra-Squeeze.

Re: 2012 RROL Season
Some Notes...
- James Rand, Kirk Sigurd, and Marco Mescall don't have rides at the moment. One or more could wind up back in the RROL.
- The pullout of the Saar Junior Program from the TM Lights leaves Kyle Schmultwitz and Travis Keating open.
- Kevin Smith is a free agent.
- America Tuvalu Racing is apparently trying to pull someone out of the past who has been off the radar for "at least a year"
- Mark Stewart and Scott Wilson's future is unknown
- Shane Lake, now driving for the Volpi-backed Gravity Racing in ARLA may switch DPI to Volpi.
- Casey Lester has left DPI. One spot open there? But Lester might return to DPI because he is apparently involved with Gravity Racing Inc.
- R3 Inc might merge...but remember what happened the LAST time they merged with someone. Anthony Smith kind of blew that up.
- Racing as Usual looking into signing Pierre Eiffel, Hunter Downs, or Pete Maverick
- RTR has hired Kendall Worthington and Gary Edwards. Both are looking to rebuild their careers.
- Peter Dennis Racing has, rumor has it, bought the spot that was to be occupied by the now closed White Mountain Motorsports. Apparently they got Ryan Nawrocki in the deal.
- OCC: RYKIA WILL ADD A FEW MORE NEW TEAMS TO THIS LIST

Here is something I want to ask:
If we can enter any of our own driver for this series and give good statistics about his or her racing career, can that person automatically get a ride with a team?

A considerable number of these characters belong to other people, some of whom have not been seen in ages (and one in particular was banned a VERY long time ago). Do you have permission to use them?

Much of the team chart is speculation on what teams might be interested in competing. Storyline wise, the slot occupied by White Mountain Motorsports was bought. Nawrocki had a contract with the old team, so the new
owners will honor that.
Kendall Worthington and Gary Edwards I have permission to use.
Who was the character who was banned? I think I overlooked something.

Matthews Motorsports RROL plans firming up? Hearing that Matthews Motorsports will indeed field RROL entries in 2012. 75 team listed in preliminary team chart, but car number is changing to 106. Rogers not in it - she's going to what was 85 car (now 116). Make will not be Gasnier - might be Lenard, though indications are Matthews wants to debut year-in-development M12 instead. Sponsor will be A&W Canada, who also sponsors Tiffany Matthews in TM Lights. AND hearing that Matthews is auditioning Florida sprint car legend Billy Ray Smith-Thompson for 106 seat. No word if sponsor Jiffy Lube is re-signing (was one-year deal). (4-12-12)

Re: 2012 RROL Season
Xavier to attempt RROL without a teammate?!
Surprise, surprise, yet another member of Terra International Motorsports is going the route of running solo in yet another series. If we are not counting the upcoming part time rides of Kelly Splison and Ryon Reffett in ARLA, each driver that has a drive in any TM Based series will run solo. Sarah Xaiver, who was going to go to the 678 DeviantArt Lycoia Brute, will make the switch to the 41 Lycoia Interceptor EXC. She has signed on with Nikon, which sponsors Greg Woodard's #41 Lycoia Brute in the TM Master Cup. The couple will get rather busy with this upcoming series and Xavier's debut in stock car racing.

I think I overlooked something.
and WMM's new owner, which was still Leon, ragequit anyway....

I Thought Eric Reed was Woody's character. Sorry.
As for WMM, their slot in the RROL was bought again,

Remove the characters you don't have permission to use (Gary Edwards, Kendall Worthington, Jacques Bouvier) or this thread is getting canned. If you want any of mine, shoot me a PM.

I have permission to use Worthington and Edwards. I asked Kevin Colley via Facebook Message if Kendall Worthington was his driver and if he could drive for RTR in the VSCC. He said "Yes he is. You can use him if you want to". Hokiegrad gave me the okay to use Gary Edwards. Jacques Bolvier not Bouvier is f1fan12's driver. That has confused me a lot. Sorry about the confusion.
Re: 2012 RROL Season
I think the better idea would be to just post a sign up thread rather then do this and risk conflict.

Duly noted.
So why isn't the guy running the races running the league?

I was suppost to run some of the races as well, but this seems so unorginized. I don't even know what is going on with this league, to be honest.

This. If you're serious about running this, then it needs to be a it more organized.
