Ran across this logo and thought it might be finagled into a nice looking ASCC logo:

On the second logo, I would have:

American Stock Car
Championship

Well, more aligned, the letters 'ASCC' just leave it too empty.

Great idea. Maybe use one of the stars in the lower part of the logo for that?

Both fonts look fine in my opinion, but whichever one you go with, I do think you should keep that oultine on the text. It makes the logo look more professional.
