Durbin announces possible 2012 VSCC plans

Ike Durbin held a press conference at the Mallory Park race track to discuss what their 2012 goals would be for the VSCC, mostly regarding entries in the field. Durbin stated that he was looking to bring keep a part-time team in the Vaughn Stock Car Chapionship. He also reportedly said that IDR will field a full time seat next year, providing a spot is open. Sponsorship is needed, however, seeing that Under Armour is rumored to leave the team due to the fact that Mac Rhylen will likely be going to ARLA next year to drive for IDR in a GLM powered car.

Durbin Leaving the VSCC at Season's End?

Rumors have been swirling that Ike Durbin would be leaving the VSCC at the end of the 2011 season. These rumors started when the team Durbin was originally scheduled to run a partial TM Lights season, announced they could add a second car in 2012, with Durbin running the second car full time. If this happens, Durbin would not be elidgible to run the 2012 VSCC season full-time. However, if they keep just the one car, Durbin will run it part-time. Therefore, being able to run the full VSCC season. Durbin stated in an interview that, in an ideal situation, he would like to run either series full-time, with still being able to run the other on a part-time basis. He also said that it would be difficult to venture away from the VSCC, because he has grown attached to the racing.
