I would pick rFactor over iRacing over any given day, being that there's much more choices to pick on rFactor and how much money iRacing tries to rip off with the monthly/yearly subscriptions and you have to pay to get a FREAKING MOD. I like to get rFactor once the updated version is released. IMO, NR 2003 was the last true racing game that ever came out. Although you have to pay extra money to play rFactor online, I still think it's worth it, being that you can get so much stuff.
But...my all-time personal favorite racing game is TrackMania. It amazes me how you can stretch beyond your own imagination of being creative with just about everything, ranging from cars, tracks, environment mods, etc. I hated it at first since I felt like it was too hard, being that I was only 11 years old at the time, and eventually got better at it. I wish I had my own desktop with me in my dorm since trying to play it on my laptop would be a bit much. Then again, I've been too busy to even screw around on the computer.

It's nice when you get a new computer. It's not nice when said new computer literally destroys a CD.

Fun fact: Tom Delgado actually has a massive werehouse full of refrigerators stocked with these cakes, which he mass delivers to all the people he happens to punch in the face.

Re: The Random Discussion Thread (RDT)
Today, one of the guys on my race team suggested we should have a football game of the guys who have been on the race team for a couple of years versus the new guys. A number of guys on the team are known for being heavy drinkers, so as a joke (sort of), I suggested to him that anytime one of the teams that allows a touchdown, has to take a shot of whiskey and keep playing. At first, they were shocked and thought it was a good idea, and later thought it wouldn't end very well. To make things better, I rarely drink any alcohol beverages and the fact I scared the crap out of them made it hilarious.

Just got a good laugh out of something on IndyCar.com. Was looking at the drivers in the developmental series for new drivers, and in the bottom rung series, the Cooper Tires USF2000 series, most of the field are drivers in their teens and 20s, except for a couple of drivers, including a 58-year-old who has listed "Hospice Care" as one of his other interests.

Alright, just asking a random question here, which of these would make the TeamSpeak explode the most?

From 1st to 4th:
Danica, Yeley, Robby Gordon, Dale Jr.
It's hard to say what would make teamspeak explode between Danica and JJ Yeley. I think with Danica, it'll be like, "HOLY CRAP! SHE ACTUALLY WON!" And with Yeley, I think everyone will either laugh their butts off or starts raging over the fact that some American-Israeli car is winning the Daytona 500, let alone winning a non-points race.

I would be more disappointed in the latter because that would mean that the Number of Races Until Jr.'s Last Win would be reset...

If Yeley won the 500, it would probably just garner more of the "Anyone can fluke a win at a plate race" type rage we're used to, only ten fold.

Yeah, that's more likely, and then they'd bash Ragan a bit, saying this proves his fluke and he doesn't deserve any ride and whatnot.Sparkz47 wrote:RealRacer4 wrote:With Yeley, I think everyone will either laugh their butts off or starts raging over the fact that some American-Israeli car is winning the Daytona 500, let alone winning a non-points race.

Re: The Random Discussion Thread (RDT)
So bowling sucked this morning. Bowled in the 120's, well below my average. However, my parents told me something that has made my day, hell made my month.
Because of my semester grades (which have bumped my GPA from a 2.999 to a 3.368, A in Engineering counts as 3 classes and I was no lower than a B in the others), I'm getting the old 52' projection HDTV put in my room tommorrow and I'll also be able to take it with me when I move into my dorm at ODU when I move in August! The awesome part is that I'll be able to couple that with my Mitsubishi amp/stereo system! And if that wasn't enough, those two speakers I've been told were shot and were being used as shelves in the sun room? I took off the front cover to find out that they are Sansui SP-6900X's, some of the most top of the line speakers back in the early 80's and they work perfectly fine coupled to my 100W amp. Whereas my Mitsubishi's are more clear, these pack decent clarity with base that makes a car stereo jealous.
In a nutshell; I'm getting an obnoxiously big TV in my room, I'll be able to hook it up to my stereo, and I now have a four speaker setup. Day has been effectively made!
The only thing I need now is a computer. However, I plan on building that in August, as I have a $5000 in an account from insurance when my brother passed away in a hunting accident back in 2008. Once I turn 18 on the 20th of that month, I'll be able to then use that money. The plan is to use $2200 to build a computer. Since I'm going to be in AutoCAD classes and will be doing a lot of render/simulation work, I'm gonna have to shell out a pretty penny for a good video card and CPU. The good thing is that I'll have for once a serious gaming system capable of running NR03 at more than 19 frames and I will have enough leftover to possibly buy a used G25! The other $2500 will be put in the account I have now and saved to cover whatever my FAFSA dosen't get. Thankfully, nearly all of my tuition is being paid for via grants and scholarships.
So that's my life right now. Cannot wait to graduate June.

Wow. You got everything going your way (apart from the bowling). It's always nice not having to deal with any financial stuff for the first year in college.

Ha! I've had homework up the arse in AP classes, been working my ass off looking for a job and getting college stuff finalized so apart from the recent good fortune, it's been pretty hectic as of late. Thankfully it looks like it's finally paying off though. Just can't wait to graduate and move on to college, that's for sure. Independence, good times and besides, the girls there are fields better than those at my high school. Knowing my luck, I'm going to bask in the good times before life happens again

Nice. Trust me, June will be here before you know it. I can't believe it'll be another week before it's officially 6 months since I started going to UNOH.

Started writing some jokes in my spare time. Mostly Jeff Foxworthy redneck jokes, just to make people laugh. One of the ones I've got is, "If you have mentioned the name of at least one NASCAR driver during a speech at a funeral, you might be a redneck!"

Actually, while speaking at my grandpop's funeral, I declared that Kyle Busch, my grandpop's least favorite driver, was "the worst driver ever of all time." True story.

Good call! Yeah, the distance is about 5500 miles, but somehow we make it work out. Her and I met about 10 months ago in St. Petersburg (Russia, not Florida), and we've been really close since then. I could go into more details but I don't want to bore you, even though it is a pretty entertaining story. Most of the ISRA guys have heard it so they know what I'm talking about xD
