I believe Ceej said on TeamSpeak a couple weeks ago that Trucks and FO were shut down. Might be mistaken though.

Stupid droid took me to another page as soon as I was about done with what I was going to post, so here is my shorter alternative.

Ike Durbin could be willing to switch manufacturers in order to secure a part or full time ARLA ride. With the ARLA Thunder Trucks going dormant, IDR is looking to stay in ARLA some how.

Lone Star Motorsports Announces Driver

Lance Chapman has announced who will drive for him in 2012. Kilgore, Texas native Kendrew Mason will drive the #555 Benny Benson's Buddy Buns Kivett Spade PS for a limited schedule in the ARLA Elite Series.

"He's a great kid and a great driver. He drives sprint cars and dirt late models all throughout the south and southwest, and he's driven on many different types of tracks, just like ARLA has. We hope to have a great part-time season next year. We are a bit disappointed to hear about the Thunder Trucks going away for now, as we wanted to start out full-time in that series, but we'll go ahead and try it out here. We'll do a lot of testing to make sure that our team hits it right. With ARLA switching to a more of a late model body, it suits Kendrew's driving style very well, " said Lance Chapman.

Kendrew was only able to be reached for a brief comment.

"It's a great honor to be associated with this series. I would like to thank Lance and Lone Star Motorsports for giving me this opportunity to race for them."

Could something like this revive the trucks?!
2012 Team Chart/Silly Season Thread (ALL FULL-TIME CARS DUE 1/28) - Page 4 2llni2g

It's a "trophy truck" mod being worked on by SpinDragun. He's planning on having these bodies:

-Chevy Silverado (shown)
-Ford F-150
-Dodge Ram
-Hummer H3

SD says the model currently for the Chevy is still undergoing numerous changes (remapping, remodeling, etc).

Expected release date: sometime in 2012.

FAC Motorsports willing to go part-time.
With the possablility of getting a full-time slot unlikely, FAC Motorsports stated that they are willing to run in ARLA part-time. If approved, the team will run the number 460 Saar driven by Nick Azure in a limited schedule.

Harrison's future with M.A.R. in Question

Amy Harrison's contract with the 102 Kivette expires at season's end, and Amy said she would explore whatever options that were given to her. "I haven't seen anything as of late, and it doesn't surprise me. I've driven a lot differently than I did last year, and my statistics haven't been all too great either. The way I see it now I don't believe I'll return to Motor Assault Racing. I'd rather focus on my progress in the TM Lights series and see where it takes me."

Harrison currently sits 30th in points with only 1 top-10 this season. At this point last season, Amy was 10th in points with 1 top-5 and 2 top-10s.

Marley wants Harrison and Rainsford back

Motor Assault Racing owner Lisa Marley stated on the team's website that she wishes to retain Amy Harrison and Rachel Rainsford for the 2012 season.

"2011 has been a challenge for Motor Assault Racing," wrote Marley, "but we fully believe in Amy Harrison and Rachel Rainsford, and we are confident that they will return to give us a strong season next year."

Walker to retire after 2011

In a surprise announcement, Kurt Walker has declared his retirement from driving full-time after the 2011 season.

Walker, 42, claims that he has been considering retiring for the last few years in order to focus on operating his race team alongside his head engineer and longtime friend Jeff Keaton.

"I tell you what, I'm having more fun running the team with Jeff." Said Walker, "I think we can perform better if I put my mind 100% in the garage."

Walker is expected to compete in select races and field 2 full-time cars for Nami Mura and Suiiju Dejao next season.

Dangerous Dog Racing Exploring Driver Options; To use the Kivett

It wasn't long ago that Dangerous Dog Racing was announced as one of the accepted teams to the ARLA Elite Series in 2012. Today, the team announced that they are looking through possibilities for drivers and also announced they will be using the Kivett next year.

"Were happy to announce that we will be using the Kivett in 2012. We had been exploring our possibilities for a long time and finally everyone on the team agreed that the Kivett was our best option. We would also like to announce that we are currently looking for a new driver in 2012. Kayla doesn't want to drive next year, she wants to be apart of the crew. We are currently looking for a driver who has previous ARLA experience. Amy Patti is our biggest prospect at the moment."

Wilkinson Has Unofficial Plans to Return to Gravity Racing, Inc.

While Bruce's 2011 season has been a quite disastrous one especially after the promising performance shown in late 2010, Bruce has mentioned plans to return with Gravity Racing, Inc., although these rumors are yet to be confirmed by either Packer Carroll or Wilkinson. If these rumors are true, it is assumed Mateo Mancini would return as a relief driver, if necessary.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

This is what I'm thinking of for 2012. Still awaiting confirmation from Packer to go ahead with this.

GLM's flagship driver leaving team?

In a move that has some people on the team scratching their heads, Jim More said that has given his driver, Ryan Griffin, the option of looking at other teams for 2012.

While More has not declosed the reason, it's rumored that Griffin is looking at a full time ride, but since GLM's entries were not accepted as full-time teams in 2012 that More is giving the young driver the option to try out for another team.

More however did say that he does plan on running the #35 and #38 next season part-time. He also said that the team is going to consider offers for the now open shot at the team. More also stated that this will not affect his plans for Griffin in the TM Lights season next season.

PSI AES Squad Set to Return Intact

PSI owner Will Power announced that Bigsby Foote, Libby Bell, and Rip Tyler will all return to the ARLA circuit for 2012.
"And why not?!" said a relatively happy Power. "All three have posted wins this year. It'd be a travesty to break up such a successful combination-- you know, not like in other series," stated Power in a rather pointed remark referencing his TM Master Cup team's bitter separation battle with James Dalton Racing.

What we need now more than ever is stability. Since we will be starting from scratch with both a new series body style and a new chassis supplier, it makes sense to keep this group together," continued Power. "It's all about patience and continuity at this point."

ZMT Racing announces plans to test out drivers.

ZMT Racing has announced it's opening stages of selecting a driver 2012. Team statement:

"We have decided to enter a number of one-offs for Rockford, as many as ARLA will allow us, to test out several drivers for the 2012 ride. We are currently looking for anyone, I repeat, ANYONE, who is interested running the full-time ARLA schedule next year. We will put you in a car, odds are numbered 89, then a letter in order of entries, and you'll attempt to make the field for Rockford. We already have a couple entries, so there is competition. However, the cars will all have the same power, so they're all equal."

(*Note: As I said in the Twitter thread, PM me to enter. You could post it here or in the Twitter feed, but I'm sure Ceej and the admins wouldn't be too happy about it. Very Happy )

Griffin responds to GLM's recent news; declares his free agency status

In a press release today, GLM's flagship driver, Ryan Griffin, officially announced that he will leave the team's ARLA program next season. The 21-year old, part time Elite driver had this to say about the situation.

"It's unfortunate that we weren't full-entry status for 2012. There are no hard feelings between Jim and I. He understood that I wanted a full-time ride and I'm very grateful for the opportunity he has given me in the #35 this and the opportunity to run in the #01 in next years TM Lights season."

Griffin also talked about his plans for the rest of this season:
"Well, I am going to finish the season out in the races we planned for the #35 car this season and hopefully we can go out big."

It's official:Recarmier to TM Master Cup

It has been official. In a rushed press conference,Rene Recamier, driver of the #0 car for Whiper-Ildest Racing,is moving to the TM Master Cup in 2012 as driver for Majestic Motorsports.

"It too good of offer to turn down,I'm sad to leave ARLA after one year, but I ready to move on to more success.",said the 23-year-old Frenchman.

Whiper might go solo.

Another parting of ways in the ARLA paddock could be Whiper-Ildest Racing.Rumors are that they are separating after the team chart showed that Mark Ildest submitted an entry for the #149 without the Whiper-Ildest name.

"Well,I'm disappointed.I might discuss about this next race, but, for now,my entries are cut short.",said Team Whiper boss Jerry Motta."I'll still run next year, with Recarmier gone,I'll put Gary DeSouza in the #0,and possibly a part time slot in the #00 for Gordon Moss, who impressed me in the CRL but just does not have the luck.Besides, the new body style might suit him."

The team would reportedly run on the Ingelsby Chassis.

Blake Camphausen Motorsports hopes to fund a second car, even if part time.
"I've been in talks with Casey [Lester], and he is a really good guy who needs a break. I think I can give that to him." If the team is to run in 2012, pending ARLA approval, it will run the number 146, with backing from Rand's Bandages. "The only thing we have left is to be approved by ARLA. I really hope it does get approved, because I really want to give him is big break."

Dejao & Patti Released From Contracts For Rockford

Three seasons of mixed results, a bunch of ribs eaten, and many cars destroyed. That is what Suiiju Dejao leaves behind at MRD Motorsports, as he & Amy Patti have been released from their drives at the team for Rockford. They will continue to drive their respective cars until then.

Also confirmed was that Tom Delgado himself will drive the #37, while Azuma Kazeyama will drive the #73.

Tanazaka considers moving Graham into ARLA from VSCC

While it was confirmed that the team would be moving their Thunder Trucks team up to the Elite Series, it wasn't known who would be the driver of the #59, rumors report that VSCC driver Jessica Graham would be moving into that ride as it's reported that Aoi is also considering making significant changes to their VSCC program, none of this is finalized however.

IDR Officially Going Full-Time ARLA Racing

It has been confirmed. Ike Durbin, Inc. (IDR) will go full-time in the ARLA Elite Series for 2012. The team had been hoping to get a spot in ARLA's top division, and had been waiting for confirmation. Bloody-X will come on board for the full season next year, with SAFE, their Thunder Truck sponsor, possibly being an associate. Ike Durbin told officials that the team will run Inglesby in 2012. The driver is currently unknown, however Durbin has been talking to a few drivers. Mac Rhylen has an audition with ZMT Racing at Rockford, and no matter what happens with that, he will not be in the 86x in 2012.

Sandy says Tucker is on the top of the list to drive the 999 car?

Rumour has it that owner Barton Sandy has Ashley Tucker on the top of the list to drive the 999 car for Land Down Under Racing. Barton Sandy said, "Tucker does have potential to get good finishes in racing, and that's all we want in our team." Sandy will decide in 2 weeks what driver he will choose for the ride.

IDR Announces Driver for 2012

And now, please welcome owner of Ike Durbin, Inc., Ike Durbin!

"Hello everyone, you may be seated. I have called this press conference to announce the driver of the 86x. It is great to already have assurance of a driver, sponsor, and manufacturer before the off-season. The driver of the #86x for Ike Durbin, Inc. in 2012 will be Ryan Griffin, who currently drives for Great Lakes Motorsports. Alot of my driver decision had to do with the alliance IDR and GLM will have in the VSCC and ARLA next year." At this moment, Griffin will run full-time for the 86x, and unless something drastic happens, I plan on keeping it like that. Thank you for your time."

Griffin, More react to IDR announcement

Following Ike Durbin Racing's announcement for their 2012 season, GLM owner Jim More and the driver at the center of IDR plans, Ryan Griffin had this to say.

GLM owner Jim More:
"Well, I am not surprised. Ike has been a great person to work with and with our merger I think that I was hoping that's what Ryan was going to do. This way he won't be going to far and we can keep him on our TM Lights entry in 2012.'

Ryan Griffin:
"Well I can breath easier now that's for sure (laughs). No but really, I'm grateful that Ike is giving me this opportunity. They have a great race team in the VSCC and to have the opportunity to represent them in the Elite Series next year is an honor."

Morales to Dangerous Dog Racing in 2012
It was reported on Twitter by the Dangerous Dog Racing team that Scott Morales will be in the #672 Kivett full time in 2012. In an interview, Morales said "I'm glad that Tyson was able to give me a ride for next year, him and his Harmless Puppy Racing team have a good team going on and I'm glad to be part of it."

Groves: Morales was not told to look elsewhere

Groves Racing team owner Kenn Groves responded to the surprise announcement of Scott Morales signing with Dangerous Dog Racing by stating that Morales was never told by the team to look for another ride.

Said Groves, "I am not pleased with the events that have occurred within the past few days. We had every intention of bringing Scott back for next season. We hope that this is just some big miscommunication; I'm not sure what we'll do if it's not."

and beacause of that story I feel like and idiot for even posting it, but I'm laughing it off so it's no big deal.

Morales to Groves: "It was all just a big rumor, I never said anything about signing on with another team and the the Teams Twitter was hacked, but I will admit, I have been taking to Tyson's team, but I'm making no plans at all to go to said team, or any other team for that matter."

Patriot Racing and Barry Spengler will part ways in 2012, Ryon Reffett or Greg Woodard may take his place

Barry 'Egon' Spengler has decided to part with the team after the 2011 season, he remarked that his performance with the team has been put into question by the leadership, and he complained about being the butt monkey of jokes around the team tent during races. Kelly Splison of course was upset by the loss of her long time teammate and 'special' friend.

"It's sad to see him go, I personally like the team, but we all have to move on... and now I can beat him up on the racetrack if we go against one another next year." Splison, who drives the 222 Lycoia Brute, will most likely move to the number 42 next year, the sponsorship of the team is to be decided.

If Reffett gets in, he'll use the number 61 of course, if Woodard is selected as the replacement driver, he'll go with the 41.

Barry Spengler, who prefers the Saar Chassis, may be talking with team owners who have the Saar Chassis as their primary choice.

"I'll go with a part time position if that's available, I just can't perform the way I want when the car I drive holds me back, not to mention that our team can't seem to get within the top 10 when it comes to finishes, I wish them the best, but I cannot be part of a failing organization in this series."

Woodard, who wants to continue racing in the TM level series, told reporters that he's willing to step down a notch and race in ARLA, given that he isn't able to get a Independent Trophy ride or fails to get a full time ride in the TM Lights next season.

The team has decided to run with the Tonare Chassis, as the approval for the Lycoia Comanche fell through with ARLA officials.

IDR Looking for New Driver?

In an astonishing announcement, Ike Durbin told officials that the team would likely be looking for a new driver, just days after signing current GLM driver, Ryan Griffin.

Durbin said he himself was confused as to the guidelines that would force him to un-sign the driver Durbin was so excited to get. He had this to say, "I was told by rulebook officials that Griffin would not be elidgible to run in my 86x car next year. As for the reason why, I am not yet sure. This crushes me, as I was extremely excited to have Griffin on board. Now, unfortunately, I have to say, that we are again looking for drivers for the 86x. This will not affect our relationship with GLM in any series, however."

Griffin Livid at ARLA Officials after IDR controversy

After IDR's announcement, current part-time driver, Ryan Griffin, was livid to say the least. The young up and coming driver had to calmed down by both GLM owner Jim More and two IDR crewmen.

Afterword, Griffin did give this statement:
"First, I want to say I have not ill will toward Ike and I thank him for trying to get this together. But, what the f*@$ was that about?! I had no warning what so ever about this until Ike told me today. I'm already part-time in the series so I don't see what the issue is."

A little while later, Griffin added this after calming further down:
"I'd love to meet with the officials and get an explanation and I'll more than likely calm down afterword."

Griffin later added that he is still interested in finding a full-time ride as a free agent if a team is interested.

Taylor not seeking a full time ARLA gig

Despite entering the 2011 Rockford 200, Cameron Taylor stated that he won't seek a ride in the American Racing League of America in 2012. The reasons for this were stated by the 21 year old driver from Cleveland, OH.

"ARLA's a lot of fun and with the new car next year it will make things interesting when they get to Texas, but having heard many rumors that I would be racing there, I would like to dispell those right now" Taylor said. "I'll probably run Dwyer and Rockford but that's it. I'm definatly staying in the VSCC and possibly the TM Lights. That's enough to have on the plate for 2012."

PAS has announced that Jeremy West will remain in the 77 car next year. The 77 car will no longer be fully sponsored by Scorpion Electronics. ZAP! Lemon-Lime soda will take over as full time sponsor. The team will look for free agents to drive the 246 next year.

(OOC: Please PM me with any intrests. And Football season is almost over so I will probably be on here a bit more.)

Sponsorship for Lone Star Falls Through

Lone Star Motorsports owner Lance Chapman has announced that their sponsorship-partner, Benny Benson's Buddy Buns, has not payed any of their bills and are deep in debt. Certain businessmen for Benny Benson's Buddy Buns have all ready been questioned about not paying their expenses. Legal action is expected.

With the loss of sponsorship, Lance Chapman reluctantly announced that he will not run his team for a part-time schedule for the ARLA Elite Series in 2012.

"It's very unfortunate, but I feel like we should have saw this coming when they wouldn't take anymore of our phone calls. Without sponsorship, we can't run a good ARLA program. Maybe in the near future we'll find a lower-tier racing series and some sponsorship so that we can make our own comeback. Kendrew was also very upset by this news," said Lance to reporters yesterday.

This also means that they will pull their 2011 Rockford one-off entry.

Last Row Autosport owner Mike Howard may be back in a part time entry for the team in 2012 if sponsorship is found. As for Nicole, she will be back part time for the team somewhere in 2012, Nicole is reported to have paid for the tires the team has been using for the last 5 races, as such Moreno Engineering is sponsoring the car when she is entered in a race.
