Is IndyCar trying to turn themselves into an American version of Formula 1?
I thought they were trying to save the teams money, but if they go to China, it's gonna be a lot more expensive than when they were going to Japan.

It's expensive to go to São Paulo each year, too.PackerMan71 wrote:Is IndyCar trying to turn themselves into an American version of Formula 1?

The trip to Sao Paulo doesn't take a trip across the ocean.

You still have to travel all the way to a different continent. I know it's not as expensive as a trip to China, but it's still a considerable price.PackerMan71 wrote:Chives2112 wrote:It's expensive to go to São Paulo each year, too.PackerMan71 wrote:Is IndyCar trying to turn themselves into an American version of Formula 1?

Don't get me wrong. Seeing IndyCar run, or attempt to run, on a four-mile long street course in China would be very interesting. I'm just worried about what it's gonna cost the teams to travel halfway across the world just for this one race.
