Indycar to China in 2012

didn't i hear something about trying to save the teams money before?

I don't know about this...

Is IndyCar trying to turn themselves into an American version of Formula 1?

I thought they were trying to save the teams money, but if they go to China, it's gonna be a lot more expensive than when they were going to Japan.

It's expensive to go to São Paulo each year, too.

It's expensive to go to São Paulo each year, too.

You still have to travel all the way to a different continent. I know it's not as expensive as a trip to China, but it's still a considerable price.

Don't get me wrong. Seeing IndyCar run, or attempt to run, on a four-mile long street course in China would be very interesting. I'm just worried about what it's gonna cost the teams to travel halfway across the world just for this one race.
