Patriot Racing to make their ASCC debut.

Accelerator Motorsports is branching out into the ASCC, bringing in the Patriot Racing moniker that they used in their first couple of ARLA seasons. Calvin Hobbes, the current driver of the 68 UPS car for Tiger Racing, has been tapped as the head driver, looking being sponsored by Woodard Transport and Freight and driving the 20 car. The team is also looking to secure the number 40 for their second car with the same sponsorship package. There are several drivers being considered for the second car, however, no one at the team is leaking any details. The team will be using the Lycoia Inquisitor, which is the current Lycoia chassis for the Master Cup.

ASCC reveals All-American division structures

The upcoming 2020 ASCC Cotnam All-American Racing Series Fueled By Donnie's Great Big Deals season will be one of great change. Following the new entitlement partners and the switch to new bodies will be the addition of two new OEMS to the sport to replace the departing Inglesby: Lycoia and Tonare.

Saar, Lenard, Lycoia, and Tonare will all participate in the series for the next three years, and it was announced that nine charters will be up for grabs in each division, bringing the full-season car count up to 36.

The current divisional structure features 11 charters across three divisions, making the current car count 33. Even with the additional three grid spots, there will be a massive shakeup in which divisions the teams will land in.

The number of drivers who qualify for the 2020 Playoffs will remain at five from each division plus the Texas 500 winner if necessary, meaning that 20 or 21 drivers will compete for the championship after the regular season ends. Additionally, if the winner of the Texas 500 does not have a full-season ride, there will be a 37th spot on the grid created for them if they can find a ride for the Playoffs.

Lou Singer Racing Announces Alliance with Tonare Auto Works
Following the announcements of Inglesby departing the ASCC Cotnam All-American Racing Series Fueled By Donnie's Great Big Deals, and Tonare and Lycoia joining the series for the 2020 season, Lou Singer Racing announced today that they have signed a three-year agreement with Tonare Auto Works to transfer their charter to the Tonare division, as well as enter an engineering and technical alliance with the Ohio-based sports car manufacturer.

Lou Singer Racing is the second team to announce they will compete in the Tonare division, along with long-time Tonare partners Team Thunder. After qualifying for the Playoffs in his ASCC rookie season, Aaron Singer will return to the series for a second season in the #11 Lou Singer Hotels and Casinos/Singer Sportsbook/Aaron Singer Sobriety Foundation Tonare.

"We are extremely excited to partner with Tonare for the next stage of our ASCC Cotnam All-American Racing Series Fueled By Donnie's Great Big Deals program", team owner Lou Singer Sr. stated during a press conference at the Lou Singer Crystal City Casino in Las Vegas, flanked by his son and Tonare executives. "Tonare's story, being an independent auto maker that's now a household name, pulling themselves up by their bootstraps- it's a lot like how I built my business. The two of us together, now that's the American dream. I promise you, Lou Singer Racing and Tonare will be a force to be reckoned with in 2020."

2021 ASCC Silly Season Thread Empty Lawrence Allen to Attempt Another Texas 500+Future Plans

Post by Carolina Crew Tue Aug 04, 2020 10:31 pm

Lawrence Allen, a current Farc rookie, decided to take his "talents" to the Texas 500 during the 2019 ASCC season.  Despite almost no expectations being placed on him, especially after, and there is no other way to say this, lucking into the field for the Texas 500.

However,  once in the race Allen actually ran pretty well, and even led a few laps.  Despite blowing an engine midway through the race, Allen still placed 11th due to the high attrition count of the race.

Allen would likely run a Saar if he returned, as it is what he drove in the Texas 500 in 2019.

The one thing holding him back is the rest of his team.  His team owner Dominic Allen seems as if he would rather invest in Farc, and the other half of that team, Lukas Fabian, already grabbed the best result for that team despite only making one Farc start, and he has also grabbed two top 10's in 3 RROL starts.  It is also worth mentioning that Fabian is half German, and the ASCC likely wouldn't be that welcoming to him, not that he seems interested.  However, Allen is bringing most of the sponsorship to the team, so could he be in a position to leverage his team to invest into the ASCC.

Who knows, but it is likely that Allen will attempt at least the Texas 500

BIG American Racing Planning to Return; Possible Driver Change?
Brett I. Garlin's BIG American Racing team is expected to return to ASCC for a second season under their Lenard charter; however, there are rumblings that the team may not re-sign current driver Bill Calhoun. The season has been feast or famine for Calhoun, with 6 top 10 finishes but failing to finish 9 of the other 10 races and failing to qualify for the Playoffs, reportedly disappointing Garlin. Another factor in a potential replacement is whether they can bring additional sponsorship to the team, which is seeking further investments to improve their engines and chassis.

Mike Malone Planning "Big Splash" in ASCC West?
A new potential multi-car team has brought renewed attention to the ASCC West developmental series, which has sometimes struggled with car counts in its' first few seasons. Garage insiders in the FARC Lowe Dollar Series have reported on rumors that current FARC driver Mike "Knuckles" Malone may be planning to step down from full-time driving following a disappointing season with KAT Motorsports, returning to his native Los Angeles to focus on operating his growing Knuckles' Sandwiches restaurants. However, Malone will not leave motorsports entirely, apparently turning his attention to team ownership and guiding developing racers by bringing his team to ASCC West.

Malone's head cook turned racing protege Duke Crosby continues to be reported as the top choice for a potential ASCC West campaign, while other young west coast short trackers remain on his radar as well, including Teagan Fox, David Wallers, and Kendall Smith. Mike Malone Motorsports reportedly is engaging with their current partners, including Milton's Mustard, TirAde, and Hope 4 All Children's Charities, in an attempt to increase their support, joining Knuckles' Sandwiches as primary sponsors.

Mike Malone Motorsports declined a request for comment on all ASCC rumors.

DVR to return to ASCC in 2020
DVR team owner Daniel Voyles is planning on bring his team back into the ASCC next season. “I’m very proud of how much we have accomplished as a team in this series because we still have a long way to go” he said. “For me I want to finish this season on a high note since there’s no other place to go but up and hope to get some sponsors once the offseason comes around” No word if voyles will be a driver or a team owner in 2020 but says he would like to keep his team in the Lenard class.
