2017 United States GP
Formula 1 invades Texas for the penultimate penultimate penultimate race of the 2017 season. It has been a long road and the road has reached its final segment. Lets get to some headlines before Michael Buffer gets the chance to introduce the drivers...
Ferrari's Facepalm
For the first half of the season, Ferrari and Sebastian Vettel looked like a very credible competitor for Mercedes. Then, something happened once the summer break finished. Lewis Hamilton started winning races again and Ferrari and Sebastian's response has been about the same as the 2016 Falcons (bring it Falcons fans). Mechanical issues and the most expensive Singapore sandwich has given Lewis Hamilton a two race lead in the drivers title. At this point, it will take a bloody miracle for Sebastian to get the drivers title this year.
"I'll be Missing You"
For Jolyon Palmer, his F1 career has been rough to be nice. Japan was Palmer's last race in F1 for the foreseeable future. Jolyon managed to gain some decent performances during his run with Renault but a lack of competitiveness with teammate Nico Hulkenburg and former teammate Kevin Magnusson lead to his demise. Who knows, maybe Jolyon will find another ride in the future, possibly 2019 if Stefan GP and/or Aston Martin become teams.
Who's at Toro Rosso This Week?
The transition of moving Carlos Sainz midseason to Renault have been a slight pain for Toro Rosso. For the past two races, Pierre Gasly has gotten to drive alongside Carlos before his Super Formula championship chance. With Carlos moving over to Renault for the rest of the season, Daniil Kvyat will return to his normal driving duties. However, their has been some disputes between Honda and Toro Rosso as to where Pierre will race because the Super Formula race and the USGP are both on the same day.

Sportscar driver Brendan Hartley will fill in for Pierre Gasly in Austin. Hartley will make his first F1 appearance since his tests with Mercedes in 2012 and Toro Rosso in 2009. Hartley will be the first New Zealander in F1 since 1984 and Toro Rosso becomes the first team since Lotus in 1994 to run an entirely different driver line-up in consecutive races.
