Is Landers really gonna try and race with all that damage?

Austin Dillon wins.
now tell me how much of a talentless hack he is and how he's only in the car because of his grandfather.

Also want to point out that technically, this is the first win for the Sieg Brothers team.

Childress Truck with RSS Racing points. The team skipped this race.

THIS.
mfw people start crying foul because Childress bought out RSS for this race. QQ pls.
That aside, awesome night of racing. I could see this becoming a once or twice a year deal, maybe one race for points (somewhere else), and the other as an exhibition that brings out a who's who of racers for a night.

Awesome race. Wasn't rooting for Dillon but congratulations. One of the best races of the year, hands down.

Awesome as hell race!
RYAN SIEG WITH A HUGE WIN...wait it's Austin Dillon...Still nice win for Dillon and cool to see him win
Dirt Track racing is quite the fun with Nascar, Lots of hard racing and drivers wheelin it.
NORM BENNING IS A BEAST! That fight for the final spot in the LCQ was nothing short of awesome.

GJ Austin, ya held off two of the fastest trucks in the field (The#30 and #34).
Also: That akward moment when Norm Benning is holding of Scott Bloomquist on a dirt track.
And maybe that race can be a prelude to another race.

Re: CWTS - Mudsummer Classic
I apologize in advance as this is going to be a long post.
Wow. Where to begin? I think that was the most well spent for a ticket that costed $40 for a big event. I didn't think the racing was going to be that good, honestly. Seeing the whole thing in person was something else. I was hoping there would be a 4-wide salute to the fans, and sure enough, they actually did it. That was my personal highlight of the night and the greatest thing I've seen at any race track. The heat races were not bad, the LCQ finish was awesome, and the feature race, well, the rest was history for there. The fact that the race came down to driver skill instead of strategy and a lot of drivers had a chance of winning the race is what made the race so awesome. Seriously, NASCAR. PLEASE bring this race back next year.
Now my thoughts on the dirt ringers:
Scott Bloomquist-Wow. Did he embarrass himself last night? I don't know what issues he was dealing with, but I couldn't believe how far back in the field he was. I was expecting a lot out of him.
Jared Landers-Until he wrecked, he did pretty well for his first time in a truck car. I didn't think he would be in the top 5 for the majority of the race.
J.R. Heffner-He impressed me quite a bit. I thought he would be competitive in the feature but it's too bad he had something break in the LCQ.
Jeff Babcock-There were quite a few people around from Ohio sporting the Babcock shirts at the track. It looked like he had a little trouble getting a hang of it, but when he got lapped by Larson and started following him, it looked like he picked up on a few things from Larson and was ready to make a comeback in the 2nd segment. I really hated to see his engine blow up.
Dave Blaney-He was running well, he just couldn't find a way around to lead a lap (I didn't think Timothy Peters would do that well, tbh). He had a good run.
Kenny Wallace-I thought he did okay. I was expecting him to do better but I guess his set-up was a little off.
Kenny Schrader-I expected him to be pretty competitive coming into the race. He got a pretty good applaud from the crowd when he took the pole and won the heat race. That was cool to see.
Austin Dillon-He's not exactly a dirt ringer, but he does have some experience on dirt. He made a good charge to the front to take the win.
Tracy Hines-I didn't keep an eye on him that much but I figured he would finish in the top 10, which was where he was running at one point in the race. He made a decent return to NASCAR after being gone for several years.
Kyle Larson-He was my pick to win this race and almost pulled it off. Had he not screwed up the last restart, I think we could've had a photo finish. I thought the race was a wrap the moment he took the lead. He was on a rail through out the night.
Overall, I'm really glad this turned out to be a huge success, not to mention the racing would be clean. I would attend this race every year in person and every other dirt race that NASCAR will add onto the schedule. Man, being there last night was awesome.

Re: CWTS - Mudsummer Classic
I tried watching this while playing Minecraft. Not a whole lot of crafting got done, lol.
Very entertaining night of racing. Over 4 hours of truck racing, which is probably a first. The heats were kinda boring, but once they got a good number of trucks on track it picked up real quick.
It was one groove all night, and they were constantly fighting for grip, and it was awesome. Every time someone tried to make a pass you held your breath because you had no idea if they could make it stick or not. I think that invalidates the idea that multiple groove racing and variable banking are necessary.
And for some strange reason I knew Dillon was going to win going in. No idea why, just a hunch I guess.

Well my sleeping pattern is totally screwed, I've only just got up, and it's 19:00 here. The race ended at about 5 in the morning in England but it was well worth it . I would be extremely surprised if this race doesn't become a permanent fixture.

Get this: for some reason or another, Bloomquist was running the race without a front sway bar. They just didn't put it in the truck. Yeah, try to figure that one out.

I heard about that. I guess that explains why he was in dead last early in the race. Even in his dirt late model, he hasn't done that well this year. I think the only time he's won a race this year was at The Dream last month, but that's about it.

I think he is very talented, but I do think his being related to Childress definitely gets him the good equipment. still, it might be time to move him up to cup (maybe In the 29 to replace Harvick?)
