- Spoiler:
- Steudler beaming after 9th place finish
"I haven't had this much fun on a road course since Australia 3 years back!"
That was what Steudler said over the in car radio as he proceeded to finish in 9th place at Road Atlanta, his first Top 10 since the start of last season. After starting 20th, Steudler moved his way up through the field, and with good pit stops, was able to finish well with no trouble whatsoever, something that would be a rarity for him in past road course excursions
"We are still learning about the new cars, but today's race was probably the most comfortable I have ever felt on a road course. Even more comfortable than when I had won at Australia a few years back. I feel as we learn more and more, I can do better and better.
(Alan) Hodges has himself some very strong cars this year, but if we can captalize on mistakes, and do the right thing, I have a strong feeling that I will be visiting victory lane this season."
Steudler moved up to an 11th place tie in the standings with Kurt Plissken, having earned 32 points, and 7 points outside the Top 10

- Vijay Pushanda Pleased with 21st
Vijay Pushanda showed once again that the Tutino can be a challenge for points, matchng Belen Koumoundorous' run at Las Vegas. He said, "The Tutino has shown, signs of development, to me at least. We are now consistant threats for points, which came the car really didn' get until the later portion of the year, at Japan and Brazil. It handles beautifully, because, myself persnoally, doesn't need somthing with a whole lot of power, because I have a bit of a lead foot. I love a good handling car, and if it can handle, I can deal with a power issue. But back on the race, it was a shame I couldn't get 20th, he put up one hell of a race. He raced very fair and with class which is somthing I give alot of respect to Dan for. Our next goal is to score points, and if we can keep our noses clean, either me or Dan (Makay) can easily score points.

- Spoiler:
- Emotional Soveral Claims Maiden Win
Luciano Soveral exploded onto the North American racing scene with his stunning performances in the TM Junior Series, showing himself to be a future champion at the highest levels in his first ten races. Few expected him to struggle as much as he did in 2011, but the Brazilian driver was able to secure himself a top-line drive.
Now, he is a winner on the TM Master Cup Series circuit.
Soveral was visibly in tears after scoring the victory, hardly able to wave the Brazilian flag he had brought onto the podium.
"The only days of my life that were happier than this were when I got married and the few days afterwards." Soveral said.
"It's amazing, I have no words to describe this!"
Teammate Adrien Devereux did not blame lapped cars or strategy errors during his post-race interview.
"We scored a 1-2, which is a good result for the team." the Frenchman said.
"Luciano was just faster when it mattered, the lapped cars didn't cost me the race. One of them almost cost him the race and it would have been a shame if it did."

- Spoiler:
- Camphausen glad to be leaving Road Atlanta.
Blake Camphausen, who placed 19th in today's TM Master Cup Series race at Road Atlanta has said he is just happy to be leaving.
"Honestly, this weekend has really been a struggle for me. I had trouble learning to drive the course, and giving info on what the car was doing back to the team, and they had a hard time getting the car into a good spot for me. I'm glad to be leaving here with a solid 19th and the points that come with it, but I can't wait until we go to Carbondale and hopefully we can improve on what we have done in the first two races." This is Camphausen's third career point paying finish in just his third start.

Re: Race 02: Round of Georgia
- Spoiler:
- Slow start continues for Matthews:
The learning experience continues for Ryan Matthews, who finished outside the top 20, and the points, for the second week in a row.
"It's frustrating, to be honest," he said. "I came in figuring we'd at least be competitive out of the gate, and we're not even that yet. We'll get there...I just hope it's sooner rather than later.
At least we were running at the end this week, so I guess we're making progress."
Carbondale looks to be a busy week for Matthews, who, in addition to running the Cup race, will make his ARLA debut this coming weekend. "I'm looking forward to racing with Tiffany again," he said, referring to his wife, who is starting her first year in the Elite Series. "Maybe that's the inspiration I need to right the ship."

Re: Race 02: Round of Georgia
- Spoiler:
- Recarmier frustrated after early incident.
Rene Recarmier, after scoring his first point at Las Vegas in the opening weekend, was definitely angry at Zach Duff after the latter turned Recarmier into the bridge wall after Recarmier tried to overtake the slow car of Packer Carroll in the opening stages of the race. After the incident,Recarmier climbed out of his car and ran across the track towards Duff's car to try and have a little word with him.Luckily,Recarmier turned around and headed back to the pits as he changed his mind, although he still had a word or two to say about Duff as he went back to the pits.
"He lucky that I calmed myself down before reaching his car,or I would have fight with him,"said Recarmier in his broken English."I know I had bad run out of turn, but that still no reason to turn someone hard into wall like that.Either he angry or he stupid.Only two possible reasons why he can turn me like that."
Before his interview above,Recarmier was taken to the infield care centre to check on injuries. The only injury he had obtained in the crash, however, was a very small cut on his big toe.

Griffith comments on incident
After wrecking out himself and fellow driver Dan Mackay at Road Atlanta in the 2nd Round of the 2012 TM Master Cup season, Anthony Griffith defended his actions in a televised press conference.
"Lots of people have been tossing criticism my way, saying that I just flat out ran over the 50 car," Griffith said. "Some drivers just don't belong in this series, whether it be lack of talent or lack of experience. He was going to wind up there anyway, the way he was driving; I just did him a favor and ended his misery early. I realize that [Tutino] is strapped for cash right now, but I wish he'd have just a little more common sense in his driver choice, especially with a certain black number 50 on the grid."

Johaanes laments over Tremwell reliability
Chris Johaanes was not pleased after the engine on his #64 Shafer Group Tremwell expired, and he was more than willing to express his displeasure to reporters after exiting his car.
Said Johaanes, "We need to get back on our A-game soon. We didn't have so many mechanical issues last season, so I know I can have faith in these guys, but I'm just not very happy right now."

Re: Race 02: Round of Georgia
Lycoia Reps pleased with results of the 110, praises driver and team for keeping the car out of trouble and bringing it in for a points finish.
"We had issues with road course chassis until the new technical specifications were handed to us in 2011." Horatio Case, a Lycoia Representative for the Lycoia Automotive Racing Program, wrote to the Herald & Review a local news paper in Decatur, IL. "Mr. Leckliter and his team did very well with the chassis, and we can see now that our overhaul and refocus on reliability and handling seem to be paying off."
Coming into Carbondale, two other Lycoia Brutes will take the field along with the 110. Greg Woodard will be driving his 'trademark' 41 car, which for the season is sponsored by Nikon, and Thomas Moore will be participating with the number 52 Brute sponsored by GameStop.
OOC: If either NavyCook or JMac have any issues for mentioning their drivers in this way, please notify me and I'll change it.

- Duff Reacts to Post-Road Atlanta Discussion, Recarmier:
In the aftermath of the TMMC's first journey to Road Atlanta, most drivers found themselves feeling either content with their decent finish or drastically the opposite. Chalk a tally on the latter for Duff and the Xenos crew.
"Kinda hard to move forward when the Frenchie in front of you doesn't know how to clear slow traffic. Not by any means was the contact intentional, but had it continued I would have probably contemplated it. I think frog legs wanted to get a little jumpy after the crash, so he's pretty lucky he thought better of it and turned away. Just another one of those days I guess."

Leckliter happy after 20th place finish
"After the hell I've been through in the TM Master Cup series in the past 3 years, this is a breath of fresh air, I may of only scored a point, but with Carbondale next week I'm confident that my Short Track skills will get me a good finish."
