Johnanna LOng to Nationwide

Johanna Long joins ML Motorsports: ML Racing announced that Johanna Long will drive the #70 Biomet  Foretravel Motorcoach Chevy for the 2012 and 2013 NASCAR Nationwide Series. Long, a Pensacola, Fl native is the winner of the 2010 Snowball Derby. She began her NASCAR career in 2011, driving a limited schedule in the Camping World Truck Series for Panhandle Motorsports. Long will join a team that is owned by Mary Louise Miller, one of the few female owners in NASCAR. Miller is known as a big supporter of women in racing. At nineteen, Long becomes the youngest female driver to compete in the Nationwide Series, and she will be competing for Rookie of the Year in 2012. ML Motorsports will run 21 races in the #70 Chey in the NASCAR Nationwide Series.(ML Motorsports)(1-5-2012)

I'm interested to see how she does and how she can compete with Danica.

Johanna Long I have a lot of hope for because she's actually pretty fast. She's just a moving target -- either she causes a wreck or she gets into one.

1000% disagree. Johanna Long is racing the 70 car, yes the 70 car that has been running 20th-30th in Nationwide. Danica is in the #7, a 7th-15th place car, so she is more likely to win than Long. Also Long seems to have the tendency to not keep the car on the track, which Danica can do.

Johanna in a car that has been 20th or so the past few seasons. Danica in a car she's out paced everyone else who drove it last year. If the Cup drivers are truly gtfoing nationwide then a Danica win isn't as farfetched as it sounds.
