Woodard knocked out of the race by overzealous Rossini

Greg Woodard, driving the Smokey's BBQ car, was taken out when Rossini spun Bates and Woodard had no where to go. Woodard pulled his car in the garage and got out, throwing his helmet and walked to his RV, refusing to take any questions from reporters.

Did Kurt Plissken bribe the inspection officials with Bandit Beer? Apparently Plissken's #16 Bandit Beer car had to pass through inspection more than once. It seemed to be taking forever but then suddenly he was given the green light-- did Plissken ply the inspection team with tons of great tasting, less filling Bandit Beer?! Plissken finished 3rd in the race. Thus far, no reason has been given by Master Cup officials as to why Plissken's car in particular was under such meticulous scrutiny.

On a side note, Plissken could be seen driving a golf cart loaded down with Bandit Beer towards Zack Webster's hauler after the race.

Lucas Grabert and Lawrence Gravity Racing Gets First Points of the Season

There was a lot of questions surrounding the team's choice of picking the rookie Lucas Grabert to drive for them full-time earlier in the year. However, he pulled off an excellent qualifying effort to start 31st and out-qualify his teammate Packer Carroll for the race at Road Atlanta. Grabert ran a very smooth but hard race to fight his way to a 17th place finish, the first points paying score of Grabert's career and Lawrence Gravity Racing's first points of the season.

"Words cannot describe how I am feeling right now, especially what we have been going through as a team." Grabert emphasized in an interview. "The first two races were a mess for us, and we nearly scored some valuable points at Carbondale. Me and this entire team are determined to score as many points as we can because I know that we have the capabilities to do so. Today, we did just that. One more thing we need are sponsors because they can definitely help us out in the long run."

Despite solid finish, Lareau left frustrated

Brandon Lareau brought home a 15th-place finish at Road Atlanta, but he was far from satisfied by the result after losing out late in a tight battle with DeGarmo Enterprises' Craig Jonser. "I'm real proud of my guys as always bringing such good cars, but it's a real letdown when you lose out in such a tight battle, especially to who I lost out to. That'll sting all the way to Europe, but we'll be back at it and make sure that it doesn't happen again."
