- Spoiler:
- Aaron Singer Arrested for DUI
The Fort Worth Police Department confirmed on the morning after the Patriot Cola 100 that FARC's Aaron Singer, driver of the #11 Inglesby for Lou Singer Racing, was arrested the previous evening after being pulled over on suspicion of driving under the influence. These suspicions were confirmed after a field sobriety test indicated Singer had a blood alcohol content of .014. Further details were not disclosed.
A competitor in the Lowe Dollar Series with 2012, with a best finish of 2nd during a stint with M&J Racing, Singer has struggled while driving for his family-owned team, failing to qualify or score points in the Trophy Dash in each of his three attempts this season. His younger brother, Lou Jr., has started the last two races thanks to two consecutive Wild Cards, finishing 29th and 32nd.
Under Texas state law, a first-time DUI offender faces up to 180 days in jail and/or a fine of up to $2000, and a 90-day driver's license suspension. Disciplinary action by FARC officials or Lou Singer Racing has not yet been announced.
Malone's Last Minute Entry Ends in Heartbreak
After entering the Patriot Cola 100 at the last minute with new sponsorship from Milton's Mustard, Mike "Knuckles" Malone hoped to keep up the momentum from his first Lowe Dollar Series victory at Albuquerque. Malone would quickly make a big impression with his second consecutive pole position; but the success would be disappointingly short-lived, as the engine on the #5 Saar expired under the first caution, just 5 laps into the race.
Said Malone: "This was the car we were gonna take to Roswell later this year, and we decided we needed to push the motor to the limits if we were gonna run at the front again. It paid off in the short run, but it just couldn't hold up in the race the way the big dogs' cars can. But just like I said, we're still the hungry dogs! We're gonna get some new engines, we're gonna find a way to make more races. Milton's really stepped up to help us run this 'un, and I wanna make them proud. We're gonna be back real soon."

- MSM @ Fort Worth:
- Master Sport Motorsports came in this week with two cars. The #53 car sponsored by Strickland Propane and driven by Mexican-born driver Manuel Herrereuz Greene and the main driver and co-owner of Alexa Lake, driving her beloved #26 Binco Kanako.
Despite running late for qualifying, both Manny Greene and Alexa Lake were able to set times. Surprisingly, the hot-headed Manny Greene put himself outside pole, only beaten by the on fire Mike Malone. Alexa Lake had a respectable qualifying in 18th - far better than her stint at Albuquerque.
"This is more like it, y'all! We needed a qualifying run like this, an' we got it. Here's to hoping that this run doesn't fall apart for me like the first two. I am proud of Manny for puttin' 'er outside pole!"
Come race time, Alexa Lake fired up her engine before they rolled off and immediately, the car began to rattle and shake, as it has done before. She blared off in the radio "Are y'all serious? Blimey car's sputtering already!" It looks like the mechanical problems have surfaced again.
Alexa Lake lasted all of five laps before her engine gave up and she went out of the race under the first caution.
She huffed off out of that car and went to the booth to watch Manny Greene's run. She did not look pleased at her result.
Manny Greene started off his run with a bang, capitalizing on Mike Malone's slow start off the line. Greene would lead a few laps before being caught and passed by Bob Stephans. His race would go down-hill from there. Perhaps the inexperience, Manuel Greene continued to fade from the lead group, falling position after position and eventually losing the group. He was taking oddly wide arcs around the corners, and he'd lose grip and lose momentum out of the corners.
At the end of the day, he still finished a respectable 15th, but that is not as what it could have culminated to.
Alexa Lake had a few things to say after the race, "My car was put under analysis, and they've found nothing wrong with the Kanako other than 'er blown engine. I am not quite sure why I am continually having issues with this here car and I am not sure how to make the reliability better. Y'know, for a company with 4.8 stars, I'd expect their race machinery t'hold up too."
I suppose I aint worry...I have too much already at hand. Two months, y'all, and I'll be a mom!"

- Spoiler:
- Luiz Bros continue to underperform
Both Xavier and Timothy continue to under perform in each of their races. Xavier had failed to make any of the main races in his 2 attempts. Timothy, meanwhile, had made all 3 of his main races but has either crashed out or, in recent event, mechanical issues. Timothy is reportedly frustrated by his recent under performance. His father deny this but there's also reports that Ryan Ruiz, Timothy and Xavier's dad, is fed up with sending resources to two different teams. He also deny this but it goes to show that divide and conquer isn't the best. However, one thing to note, Xavier actually comfort Timothy after another disappointing run. Something must have happened in the offseason that got both of them to made up. Xavier would actually comment on the comforting and how its basically a heelface turn when compare to last year. "He's my brother" Xavier said. "I was overconfident on my driving ability and put a strain on me and Tim's relationship. During the offseason, we did 3 races in go karts and he won all 3. It was that time I felt humbled. Why we made up, that's more of a personal reason but the go karts were a factor." So, at this point, we know Xavier lost to Timothy in go karts 3 in a row and was humbled from it. Xavier will not return until races 10-11, while Ruiz is running until Race 7 then return on race 10. Let's see if Timothy would get a bounce back race in.

LSR Releases Update on Aaron Singer
Following his DUI arrest after failing to qualify for the Patriot Cola 100, Aaron Singer was released from police custody on bail, and Lou Singer Racing released a brief statement on the incident:
"Lou Singer Racing is disappointed in Aaron's actions following the Patriot Cola 100 and will take appropriate disciplinary action. Singer's status as driver of the #11 Lou Singer Hotels and Casinos Inglesby will be decided at a later date."
Eyewitnesses reported that Singer did not appear intoxicated and acted normally during practice and qualifying; following the Trophy Dash, he appeared visibly frustrated, then was later seen on the speedway's concourse, entering the Singer Corporation's luxury suite. It is presumed that Singer became intoxicated in the suite before departing the speedway following the feature, leading to his arrest overnight.
The #11 team was not scheduled to attempt another race until the weekend at Berlin Raceway, leaving several weeks before a decision on Aaron's status will be made.
Malone Soldiers On, Joins Team Burr for 70/77
Despite his disappointing finish at Texas, Mike Malone doubled down on his goal to compete for both the FARC Lowe Dollar and Super Series championships, as it was announced that he will bring his race-winning car from Albuquerque to the next race at 70/77 Speedway, in conjunction with Team Burr. The #5 Saar will be renumbered with John Burr's #54, a deal made in the aftermath of all three of Burr's primary cars being totaled in the Trophy Dash at Texas.
"Me and John are a lot alike, we're just the lil' guys tryin' to get a foot in with the big team", said Malone. I saw all his cars get junked and I knew he needed a hand, so I told him we could work together and help the both of us get to the next race. I rebuilt the nose on the Alby' car, he pays the fee, and I'm gonna help him get some money so he can put his team back togetha. It's all 'bout the hungry dogs!"
It is unknown at the time if Malone will run any further races with Burr, or if he will hand the wheel back to John Burr after 70/77. Malone will still need to attempt seven more races to be eligible for the Lowe Dollar Series title.
