Timothy Ruiz's Long March is coming to a close soon and as of now, he's kinda inconsistent. In some races, he's a race contender and a have a high ceiling of success and on others he's just either have bad luck or just crash prone. He got 1 top 10 out of the 4 races and after Meadowdale, he said that "He need to get his [explicit] together." Ruiz is set to run next weeks race before taking a bit of time off before Rockford. He hopes that during his break, he'll relax a bit and think how to win at Rockford. Xavier is set to return and attempt to run another race. It's a wait and see. Both Brothers are planning on returning.

Silas White shaken but O.K. after nasty wreck

A decent run for the White family team was ended abruptly on lap 81 of the September 2 feature, when Silas White was sent hard into the outside wall after tangling with the cars of Kelly Splison and Chuck Johnson. Several cars were damaged in the incident, although none as badly as the #79. White was unavailable for comment after the incident, but a crew member indicated that he was lucky to escape injury, only having the wind knocked out of him. A new car is being prepared for the road course race at Meadowdale.

Still lacking a major sponsor, the loss of a race car is a damaging blow to the fledgling Dynasty Motorsports team.

With limited road course experience, Silas White managed to finish a respectable 13th in his last attempt before the special feature finale at Rockford next month. Now the team's focus will shift as they begin preparations for that major event, for which team owner Neil White had considered entering a second car. Those plans were quickly scrapped after his son Silas crashed out of the race at Chicago.

Kenny George ends DNF streak

After a spectacular series of retirements and crashes, Kenny George ended the spell by finishing 22nd at Springfield, despite a transmission problem knocking him out of contention: "We had a fun race despite all problems, and it feels nice to finish a race for once, but the way things are going we're bleeding cash, so I doubt we'll stay the way we are, despite the sponsorship deal", said George in the aftermatch of that race.

Two more straight top-10 finishes at DuQuoin and Meadowdale seemed to raise his morale:
"We got two great races, but we need more and I am pumped. I just hope we're free from problems now".

Reasoning behind Ashcroft Family racing's disappearance

Following a strong start for the year, Ashcroft Family Racing seemingly disappeared from the FARC field without much notice, unusual for a team that has its size, especially giving their performance in the 2017 season of NAAC, tallying two wins.

An explanation for it was given by the team's co-owner and primary driver Jack Ashcroft: "We decided to save our equipement and only contest the one-off events, including a multi-car effort at Rockford. The reason is that we are strongly considering a full-time entry in FARC,
given its not our primary focus, we want to save money by avoiding wrecks and unncessary damage to the cars and engines we already have with us."

Jack Ashcroft has already mentioned in a statement on the team's site that Ashcroft Family Racing's plans are to enter a full-time car and possibly a part-time car, with Jack's eldest son Donnie driving the car, which would be rechristened as the #909. It is unknown which number the second entry would display, nor is it its driver, but it has been confirmed the #99 will be dropped from the program, which is mostly an effort managed by Jack Ashcroft, while his brother Tom Ashcroft manages the NAAC program with his daughters Julia and Kelly and their younger sister Katelyn.

Ellison finishes 3rd in Chicago

Race driver Trueman Ellison achieved a 25th place at Chicago with a mostly damaged car,
as his primary ride was destroyed earlier in the year. About it he had only this to say: "this season has had a great story" he later questioned our reporter about his sex life. He later announced that Hugh Patrick may be a driver for a possible second entry, which would also be part-time in 2018, being mostly funded by Patrick himself.

About that matter Patrick said: "Race driver like myself love budget, can't never talk about budged, you tell me what do you think of my car and guess how much it costs."

Alexa Lake comes home sixth at Chicago
In her underpowered car, Alexa Lake would be able to qualify well [seventh] and stay towards the front in midst of chaos at Chicago.

Her equipment is not as tuned up as others in the paddock, thus being a bit underpowered, but the car's great turning abilities and her pure skill kept her towards the front. All race long, [Alexa] Lake would stay close to the front, but would never garner more places than fourth. She would come home sixth. One top ten in her many prior.

"The car was great all day long, I merely wish it had a bit more power under the lid.
I figure I could have made fifth, or fourth, but even pushing hard is risky and I couldn't make top five. Regardless, that's another top ten in the bag and I am very happy about it." Lake stated in post-race press release.

Alexa Lake has another strong finish; 12th
Alexa Lake, in her eleventh(?) start in FARC at Meadowdale qualified rather poorly.

After qualifying, she stated "I will have to push my way forward if I want any kind of a good result. Ack, watch out, y'all! Hopefully, my car won't die on me like it has in times past!"

During the race, Lake's #26 Binco CM Nova would be seen heading quickly towards the front, but later on during the race, her tires would start to wear and fall off, so her blistering pace would dim a bit. She would managed to squeak her way into a strong twelfth place finish.

"I had a fast one under me today, but I pushed 'er too hard and shred my tires a good bit, so I lost some of my fast pace. I feel like I could have made the top ten. Ah well,
I am still in the points and I am trying to bring her home well at season's end."
