Not much to talk about, though.
Xfinity was alright and ARCA was just downright boring.

Ricky Stenhouse is a Cup winner. Never thought I'd say that.
Good on him though.

Re: Nascar/ARCA @ Talladega
Stenhouse had one of the best cars today. I thought he was done for after the Blaney deal, but he fought back. Good to see him and RFR in victory lane.

The big one involved Chase Elliott taking flight and Allmendinger ending up on his roof.

The fact that Ricky Stenhouse beat Kyle Busch to win that race makes it even more satisfying to watch. Also Roush's first win since Carl Edwards at Sonoma in 2014.

(whistle)
Also, Stenhouse winning the race, eh? Talladega produces yet another first time winner. Anybody got a count as to how many that is now?

Ricky Stenhouse, Jr. is the eleventh first-time winner at Talladega in the Cup Series.
Still gathering my thoughts after this weekend. All I can say right now is Sticky Ricky's getting laid tonight.

Re: Nascar/ARCA @ Talladega
Never thought I'd say this, but the Brick Stenhouse won a race! Pretty impressive win.
Re: Nascar/ARCA @ Talladega
That was definitely one of the most enjoyable Talladega races that I've seen in a long time. Passing was very possible but required good execution and a bit of aggression. Plus the crashing was kept to a reasonable minimum. It reminded me a lot of the early 2000's, which (for me) is a very good thing! Kudos to NASCAR for creating a package that can put on such a good show.
I know that "anyone" can win on a superspeedway, but Stenhouse had to be smart to pull off that move and keep Kyle Busch behind him. As disappointed as I was to see Bayne crash after a solid showing, I'm still glad that Roush-Fenway Racing has finally made it back to victory lane, and I hope that its turnaround continues.
Also worthy of note is Jamie McMurray continuing to test his hypothesis of "maybe I can do better if I drive more aggressively." He was driving just as aggressively as he was at Daytona, but this time it worked. Him barreling between Busch and Johnson like a madman to move himself into second-place on the final lap was absolutely crazy, and he had been a blast to watch for most of the race, anyway.
