NHRA moving from ESPN to FOX Sports 1
This means that, outside of the X-Games motorsports events, there will be NO regular motorsports coverage on ESPN next year:

I've heard recently that ESPN is in massive financial trouble and this just proves that point.

That's what happens when you have 10,000 NFL analysts, and pay $40 million a year for the Times Square studio Keith Olbermann does (about to be did) his show from, because he doesn't want to work out of Bristol or LA.

If I remember correctly. The NHRA fan base constantly gets stiffed due to ESPNs commitment to air live events.

Only positive that comes from it is that the NHRA is leaving ESPN, where they got little attention, and go to Fox Sports, who gets little attention, but at least will probably be willing to do what they can to get said attention

So, the NHRA made it official today. 16 Sunday elimination shows will be aired live next season, four of those on FOX. The US Nationals will probably be one of those four, but the US Nationals are always on Labor Day, so...

The more racing coverage ESPN loses, the better. ESPN had already proved with Indycar and NASCAR that Motorsports to them is not at all important (nevermind the fact that their sister channel, ABC, hosts a massive Race every year). I'm just waiting for that to end as well.
Now if only Fox sports 1 could go screw itself as well, since they are nothing more then a ESPN knockoff.
