2014 Round of Mansfield Qualifying Procedure

132 cars are on the preliminary entry list.

Pole Qualifying

Four 60-minute sessions will be run, after which the top 2 fastest times will be pulled and set on the grid, making up the front row.

Qualifiers

Cars will be broken up into 4 groups, based on where they ended up time-wise in pole qualifying. These groups will be known as Tier 1 through 4, with Tier 1 featuring the fastest cars and Tier 4 featuring the slowest cars. From these 100-lap qualifiers, the top 10 from all Tiers 1-4 will be placed on the grid in the order of their finishes.

This will leave 42 cars set on the grid.
