Audi to Return to F1?

New rumors have come out suggesting that Audi may be closing their DTM and WEC operations to run F1 in 2016. They are apparently looking to buy an existing team, most likely Red Bull or Torro Rosso, and looking to sign Alonso if he doesn't go to McLaren.

So far this is the single source of this news so I very much doubt it. On technical terms, WEC is much more amiable to Audi than F1 because they can develop hybrid and 4WD so it doesn't make much sense anyway.

IF they somehow do, I would think Toro Rosso would be the team that they'd buy.

But like you said, it doesn't make sense
