Suggestions for new EFR leagues
This should be fun, what are your idea's for new EFR League ideas.
EFR's IROC series- This has been attempted in the past but it never went anywhere, and with more leagues, I belive it could be very popular. And I don't think it would be too much work either, maybe 5-7 races.
Some Openwheel Series- Yes we do have Formula Overdrive, (or did it die with the old forum) but I think the time is right for a new open wheel series. Maybe one that goes to Europe.
American touring car series- A V8 supercars style league that takes place in America. Only road courses, through in a few endurance races, with a supercar series mod. Actually in all honesty, I was hoping ARLA or VSCC switched to a V8 supercars mod.
EFR Endurence Series: This one would take some work, It would require 2:30 hour race all the way to a 6 hour or even a 12 hour race if the league owner was devoted.
Thats all I can think of right now.

I actually tried to get this going on the old erf, but I couldn't paint cars. So, it failed. It was an open-wheel series that was based in America but was going to run a couple of races overseas.
That being said I would love to see an IROC series. Maybe with the old Camero 90s IROC mod.

I think there should be the TM SuperTrucks division. I play on the SuperTrucks name from the very old school NASCAR SuperTrucks series from '95-'96 before it was the Craftsman Truck Series. The TM SuperTrucks Series would use the same engines from Cup and Lights with Cup/CTS physics with the bodies from the ARLA Thunder Trucks.

TM Dirt Racing Division: You guys know that you want to watch cars drive 220 on dirt
Stock Car Division: True stock cars, not the Race-cars that we call stock cars, I mean real production cars.

Is the Dash Cup Series the equivalent of the Goody's Dash Series?

Ever heard of the British Days of Thunder series? It reminds me a lot of that. Only bigger.

Maybe the V8 Champ Car/IndyCar or whatever that is, but I doubt it.

What about a drag racing series? That could prove interesting.

I could do a V8 Supercars series, but have no skill at painting at all.

If I had the time, I would like to start my own series too. I'm not a world class painter either, however.

Running an EFR IROC series sounds intriguing, but I don't know how I'd do it.

Wasn't the GRL already sort of an IROC series?

It's been done before (anyone remember EFROC?), abandoned, and discussed a lot since. Heck, I even flirted with the idea of doing it once, but that unfortunately was during the Ten-Billion-New-Leagues-At-EFR-That-Only-Lasted-One-Race-Assuming-They-Even-Got-Off-The-Ground Plague of 2008-09.

Re: Suggestions for new EFR leagues
ive thought of this a couple times since finding my NR2k3.
an entry level 4 cyl division using the Bandit mod (it might be called something else but Cjay called them that for his allstar weekend)
My idea is as entry Level as it gets... Enduro racing
invision this.... 30 to 34 cars on SHORT TRACKS (when i say short tracks i mean SHORT tracks. no Bristol, no Martinsville No Richmond.. nothing over 1/2 mile. Dirt and Paved tracks the shorter and tighter the better. Turn the AI agression WAY up. turn the Decel way down. (give them ARCA brakes) turn the grip levels down a bit so they fail a little (not ALOT) basicly what im seeing is AMATURE weekend warriors like myself that are out for a hobby. 50 lap races on really small tracks so pitting is not needed. just make sure cars can get in and out of the pits. the tracks dont need to be the best looking things out there and if cars fail in the pits and dont effect the on track racing who cares. most people in my level of racing that have to pit for damage dont come back out so you dont even have to show much in the pits. your painting skills dont even need to be that good as alot of enduro racers use duck tape or spray paint! and you could even use STANDING STARTS

Re: Suggestions for new EFR leagues
You know I was thinking, if I could someone to paint them. I might try restarting the open wheels I was going to start. Especially since Formula Overdrive is no longer being run.

Re: Suggestions for new EFR leagues
I started an IROC type series but was unable to maintain it. I'd be happy to finish the carset if someone wants to run a "season". It would be representative of the forum as a whole so we'd like to see it done properly.
Here's the promo I put together a few years ago

This isn't really a racing related league, but I think a robot combat league made with Robot Arena 2 would be fun if handled good.

I know he has an interest in it, so I threw the idea out there. I've participated in tournaments for it on other websites and know the ins and outs of the game itself, so I'd definitely help out on one if it ever happened.

I'd be up for it as well if I could ever get the game to work properly

Re: Suggestions for new EFR leagues
I actually want to run something like that on ISRA, because it would probably be pretty fun. I need to find my old Garbagecan robot (Mauler clone, actually beat a few of the DSL machines) and upgrade my old Sir Cyrus machine (also beat a few of the DSL machines, but Sir Cyrus was a middleweight machine).

Hey it doesn't look like there's gonna be any in-canon Truck leagues this year. Someone should try to start one up.

There is already an Open Wheel Series in the Minor leagues thread, I'm not sure if you can sign up in the middle of the season though.
