NASCAR Weekend @ Pocono & Iowa
Heading towards the last stretch of the season before the Chase, the Cup Series stops for a second time at Pocono. Last time out in Pennsylvania, Brad Keselowski made a questionable decision to get a piece of debris off his grill by getting behind a lapped car, which in turn lead to Dale Earnhardt Jr. passing him and going on to win the race.

Last time out for the Nationwide Series at Iowa, Sam Hornish Jr. cruised to victory in the JGR #54. He will get another shot this weekend, but he will have to overcome the equally dominant #22 Penske car, being driven by Brad Keselowski.

Kyle Busch Motorsports and Toyota continued their dominance over the Truck Series with Darrell Wallace Jr. winning at Eldora. Now they stop at the Tricky Triangle for the only time this season. Be on the lookout for Austin Dillon and Kyle Larson. The Cup rookies are looking to put Chevrolet in victory lane for the first time this season.

Brad justified him being in the Nationwide race by claiming "he's keeping people in work".

Blaney has the truck championship to go for and Tags and Penske probably don't care to run him on an oval.Alta wrote:And Ryan Blaney or Alex Tagliani weren't?Spannerhead29 (Nelson) wrote:Brad justified him being in the Nationwide race by claiming "he's keeping people in work".

Tagliani is running TUDOR and Canadian Tire Series this year. He can't run much more than the road courses.

So Brad's the only choice really :/. At least it's a logical one. Also CHASE PISTONE IN THE 31, WHAT X100
Re: NASCAR Weekend @ Pocono & Iowa
I personally don't mind the Cup drivers nearly as much when they are at tracks the Cup Series doesn't go to.

My Dad put a "Dumb Blonde Magnet" on our car after I got T-boned under yellow by a blonde-haired girl. I taped over it than eventually took it off out of fear of getting into massive trouble.Mother of Invention wrote:

That pole was because he was fastest in practice when qualifying was rained out.

GG ARCA
I guess they figure since most of the drivers rarely use the brakes on big speedways, it wouldn't make much difference  Â

This might seem irrevent, but Kenzie Ruston set the record for highest finishing female in K&N series history at Iowa, with a second place finish.
Brandon Jones won the race.

East winner : Jones
Highest west finisher : Greg Pursley 9th
Re: NASCAR Weekend @ Pocono & Iowa
Ben Rhodes extends his points lead to 72 points (K&N also uses NASCAR points) over Cameron Hayley. 4 races left and he has a 1 and a half race points lead. Going to be hard to catch him, he could finish 14th in every race and still win.Lucstar88 wrote:Michael29Shell wrote:This might seem irrevent, but Kenzie Ruston set the record for highest finishing female in K&N series history at Iowa, with a second place finish.

Or so we thought. Wrecking Loose actually meant someone wrecked. But it's Quiroga so...

Kind of a tough sell. Granted the 77 came back down but that was after being squished into the wall, so cant say that was intentional.

The first rule of wrecking someone is to not wreck yourself. The second rule of wrecking someone is to not wreck two other drivers in the process.

She was as high as third in the K&N race at Columbus a few weeks ago, but got dumped by Ben Rhoads late. Also, i don't know if anyone saw that race on TV, but there was a moment when they went three wide for the lead late in the race. That was an epic WTF moment, and even more so when they got away with it.

This race went four wide for the lead on the final restart from what I understand.
