Moving the EFR Wiki
Hi guys,
As a relative newcomer around here, I'm always looking to the wiki to find out more information about what's going on, about past history at EFR, but, surprise surprise, Wikkii is dead. all.the.time.
Us guys over at F1Rejects got sick of this too, and so we got http://formularejects.com/wiki/Main_Page instead. There were some gremlins initially with the transition but we've settled down nicely now.
As the admin of the website, I extend this offer to EFR; I will host your wiki (seperately from the RWRS wiki of course) for free, for the forseeable future. The bills for both the domain and the hosting are fully paid up until March 2017, so even if I disappear for a little while, the wiki will not. And I'm sure Cynon will pester me if the site hits a problem.
Crashbroke, tommykl et al can attest to how much of an improvement the wiki's reliability has been since we made the change. I'll probably offer Cynon the opportunity to host his TV graphics php generator here too. It's definitely an improvement over free hosting.
So EFR - what do you say to it?

I'd be up for it. I usually lurk on your wiki and it seems to be working smoothly every time I'm on there.

I'm in favor to it, to resume in a few words, the same reasons of Leckliter. It really works well most of the times that I go there.

Re: Moving the EFR Wiki
Considering that I have a 2 month old Wikkii backup that's usable, that might work, assuming TMPedia stops being dead by Monday or Tuesday.
Re: Moving the EFR Wiki
I will confirm that it does indeed work very smoothly and is far more reliable than either Wikkii or Shoutwiki.
Also, now that you remind me, I really should finish posting the F1WRCR race reports

Why must you do this to me. Sigh...
Also over at that website is a image uploader, good for flats and result images, that i imagine can easily be used. Although I need to find out how to easily be able to look through the archives without having a direct link to a image
Re: Moving the EFR Wiki
I didn't implement that. My PHP skils aren't at that level yet! But maybe I can arrange something like this for a version 2 uploader down the line.RealRacingRoots wrote:Veni Vidi Voeckler wrote:

In other news, as mentioned in The TMPedia Thread (which I failed to find before starting this thread) I started up the wiki on my hosting, now we will just wait for Cynon to port all the content across and she should be good to go!
