Question for everyone
For some time now I've been involved in a discussion on another forum on why the average person might watch baseball, or golf, or any sport, but not pro bowling. We've discussed this before, but this time we got the idea to go out and poll the "average persons" and see what they actually think.
So, why do you guys not watch pro bowling? What are the reasons?
Don't be afraid to post your opinion. You're not going to hurt any feelings. We're just looking for truthful answers.

Re: Question for everyone
I no longer watch because I feel the PBA Tour jumped the shark with their constant changes for the sake of change. The World Series of Bowling being in one spot was a key factor in me turning off the tour.
In the past, when the tour was on ABC, I watched because the coverage was absolute top notch. Nobody could top Chris Schenkel & Nelson Burton Jr. I felt like I could become a better bowler from those broadcasts, especially with the Bo Burton's Bowling Tips segment.
During the ESPN era, I watched to see the players we regard as legends fend off the younger players. As a fan of the older players such as Pete Weber, Norm Duke, Walter Ray Williams Jr., etc., I want to see the old guard win. The younger players just don't impress me.
Shorter version of my mini-rant: I'm not impressed with the general state of the current tour.

Re: Question for everyone
For one, bowling in Europe is not a very highly covered sport on TV. I remember seeing a few tv channels show a British bowling tournament a while ago, but apart from that I don't think it's been shown very often after.
The sport is, for me, also quite slow moving, or at least I would assume, with all the waiting for pins to be reset and for bowlers to prepare etc. While playing, I do find it quite uninteresting for this reason too.

Re: Question for everyone
To be all frank and honest, it doesn't catch my attention. With auto racing namely NASCAR despite all the bad changes there is still enough there to hold my interest. Same thing hold for the NFL for me. But the MLB and NBA like pro bowling don't catch my attention enough for me to watch.
