I have a quick question here, if this is in the wrong section, I apologize. It's the best place I could find for it.

Now, as some may know, I signed up for the Dash Stock Series, and things are going pretty well, but it seems I'm completely baffled by the ratings system. It might be because I'm relatively new here, it might be because I don't know the game, I don't know. But the problem still remains that I don't have the foggiest idea of how to set up my drivers ratings. Could someone help me out here, maybe give me an explanation? Or if it's really obvious and I'm not seeing it, just smack me upside the head and call me Skippy.

Essentially:

You have 30 points
12 Fields to divide them up

But you have to add up to 30

Example (DO NOT USE)

Stats:

4 A's (4)
3 B's (6)
5 C's (15)
1 E (5)

30/12 = 2.5

Each letter category is worth a specific number of points, you add points up to 30, but you can only have so many lettered categories

Each category also states how high your skill values are. In parenthesis are the point amount per category.

A = 80-85 (1)
B = 70-75 (2)
C = 60-65 (3)
D = 50-55 (4)
E = 40-45 (5)
F = 0-35 (6)

Now, you have a set number of skill categories with the predetermined number.

Okay, I think I might be getting the hang of this, but I'm still not clear on the dividing and why there are two different sets of numbers (why there are some in parentheses and some not in parentheses).

Wait, guys, I just had an epiphany! The numbers to the left of the letter represent how many ratings you used, and the number on the right in parentheses shows how many total points you used on that rating. Since A has a value of one, it only takes one point per rating. B has a value of two, so it takes two points per rating, so 4 B's would equal 8 points.

Now, the only thing I don't understand is: what's stopping me from giving my driver 30 A's and making him completely awesome? Or am I missing the point of the ratings?

You may assign ratings at will, but there’s a catch: Your average rating for all three categories combined can be no less than 2.5. To calculate the average rating, you add up the numerical values of all the ratings and divide by 12, which is the number of fields.

A = 1
B = 2
C = 3
D = 4
E = 5
F = 6

4x1 = 4
3x2 = 6
5x3 = 15
1x5 = 5

Multiply the point amounts and add them up to make 30.
