Re: Random Discussion Thread
I recently added a fictitious season page to my user page on TMpedia that is based off of the 20th and final NASCAR Cup Series season of my "Career Mode" on the game NASCAR Thunder 2004. Career Mode retires drivers as the years go by and has other racers hired to take their positions, and that's what the team and driver lineup looked like in 2022.
Of course, as the game was made in 2003, the cars and the teams (except for Fantasy Team) are the same ones that competed in that year.
I ended the session with 5 championships (2012, 2017-2020), the first and last of which while driving for "my" team, and the other three while driving the #99 Chevrolet sponsored by Aaron's for Michael Waltrip Racing.

OK completely disregard it then. If it was true something like the BBC would know about it but no.
Re: Random Discussion Thread
I just returned to Michigan today from Alabama. Unfortunately, I was not there to watch the ARCA race at Mobile. Or to test drive at Talladega.
On the flight home earlier today, however, I just happened to spot a moderately large concrete tri-oval racetrack with minimal grandstands while looking out the window over Tennessee. That makes the Nashville Superspeedway the second racetrack that I've ever seen from the air, as my grandfather flew me above the Michigan International Speedway in a four-seater airplane exactly one week after the 2003 Sirius 400.

My company, Safety-Kleen, was purchased by Clean Harbors a couple of years ago. We've sponsored Stenhouse (Eco Power) and now Biffle (Clean Harbors). I guess we'll get some TV time when they crash. :-/

Re: Random Discussion Thread
So, I went game hunting at my local flea market today, and found a copy of Dusty Diamond's All-Star Softball for the NES. It's covered with video rental stickers, but the label and the cart for the most part are in pretty decent shape. I got the game for 50 cents.
According to Pricecharting.com, it's actually worth almost 43 dollars. SCORE!

Apparently I experienced my first earthquake a little after noon local time; a 4.2 magnitude quake struck in Galesburg about 100 miles from where I live. The shaking inside my house was noticeable, but just subtle enough to where I assumed it was my imagination until I read an article on it.
I understand that a 4.2 is nothing of significance, and especially in light of the recent disaster in Nepal. They just hardly ever occur around here.

Tomorrow, I will be flying to Texas to meet with people in a different community whom I've known for less than a year.

This is kind of irrelevant now as Indycar and F1 on NBC has been on rise rating-wise since 2014. Hell the 500 beat the Coke 600 this year and F1 pulled a 1.1 where in some parts of the US the sun hadn't even come up yet.BWardboy88 wrote:So, I found this rather interesting article earlier today regarding IndyCar in 2012.

Re: Random Discussion Thread
My computer has finally been fixed after not working properly for the past week.
I will be leaving once again, however, for another week-long period starting on Wednesday, as I will be going camping. I may be able to log in once or twice, but most likely will be inactive until I return home.
The campground to which I'm going is located very closely to the Onaway Speedway, so I may not be able to take a total break from watching racing!

The riders at the Tour de France apparently were inspired by the Coke Zero 400 last night because they did their best Daytona impression during the 3rd stage earlier today. The crash resulted in the equivalent of a red flag, and multiple riders are reported to be in the hospital with shoulder and rib injuries mostly

Based off of IndyCar I'm going to assume all the bikers spent the rest of the day complaining about why they are there and why they are all about to die? /s
