IndyCar - Honda Indy Toronto
So, Ganassi got in the winners' column in Pocono, while RHR's hopes of repeating took a bit of a hit from the pit lane incident with Sato.
Now, the guys and gals of IndyCar head north of the border for the second of the three doubleheaders this season.
Unfortunately, they're going to encounter a little problem - it's been raining in Southern Ontario non-stop for the entire day (although, it's not raining there now), which has caused flash flooding. The problem is, the rain chances for tomorrow (Tuesday) and Wednesday are very high. The sun should start shining again on Thursday. Hopefully, things will dry out before Friday.
Entry list has not yet been posted.

Well I think they are gonna bring boats to the track. Yesterday Toronto got torrential downpour for 2 hours. 5 inches of rain fell in that time period. Not looking too good at the moment. Here's a pic.

Its so weird, I'm only an hour outside Toronto and I got a sprinkle of rain. Some places are clear now. Hinchcliffe tweeted that Lake Shore (The back straight) is clear. Looking good so far.

With this being a standing start, I can see Bourdais and Will Power beating Franchitti into the first turn. I can also see this being a messy start since a good number of drivers don't have experience doing standing starts or haven't done them in a long time.

Apparently they had a starting box set up at the end of the pitlane during practice so the drivers could work on their starts. I think they'll be fine.

Re: IndyCar - Honda Indy Toronto
Pretty good race, certainly up to par with what we've seen out of IndyCar this year. Law'd when Seabass did victory donuts for his runner-up finish. Freaking awesome.
The only black eye on this race was, who else, Brian Brainfart buzzkilling the finish by having the cars going single file, basically handing the victory to Dixon on a silver platter. Barnhart, do us all a favor and don't ever comeback, okay? You come back for one race and you screw up what would've potentially been a good finish. Thanks for nothing.
Race #1 of the Honda Indy Toronto gets a 7.5/10.

Looks like you spoke too soon.
As for the race, I thought the racing was exciting. A lot of stuff happening throughout the race. I can't say I'm surprised with the inconsistency of Brian Barnhart. It's messed up what happened to Dario just now, especially when Scott Dixon pulled the very same move on Power and never got penalized for it.

...............
Dario got penalized for blocking, when he didn't even block? I'm not a Dario fan by any stretch of the imagination, but that's just ridiculous.
(sigh) Barnhart, seriously, get the fuck out. This type of shit is the reason why you were fired as race director in the first place.

Good racing out there. Good win, Dixon. An 8.0 out of 10, but Brian Barnhart should seriously GTFO. A blocking penalty on Dario? A single file restart with 1 to go? Really? Pathetic.

I seriously can't help but keep thinking that tomorrow's race is going to be a mess. It's just a gut feeling I have with some of the decisions Barnhart made today and how messy the 2nd Belle Isle race was last month.

Re: IndyCar - Honda Indy Toronto
Dario got his 3rd place back on appeal. And there will be another attempt at a standing start today.
OK, so Beaux needed to be away for the weekend. That happens, that's fine. But, I can't help but think that if Bernard were still in charge, Barnhart would've been the last person he picked as a fill-in.
IndyCar is finally making some progress, and they screw it up by bringing this idiot back into the fold. Allowing people to cut the corner in Turn 5? Really, dumbass?
And for the first time in a LONG time, I was rooting for Bourdais, just so we could have another different winner in the fold. He absolutely got screwed on the final restart. Was Dixon scared that he was gonna miss out again, and decided to not play by the rules? I was expecting Seb to be in his usual, full-on crybaby bitch mode after what happened on the last restart, and he would've had a right to do so this time, but he was so happy about finally having another good run in that car. Dixon should consider himself fortunate. And is Dixon's wife the new Ashley Judd? Are we gonna start seeing her every time he's leading? Yes, she's attractive, but I want to see on-track action. Thank you.
Rant over. Hope to God something other than a Target car crosses the line first today.

Also, Briscoe has a broken wrist, and won't be racing today. Carlos Munoz will take his place.

While some calls were quite questionable, I think that was a fantastic race. Something exciting was happening all day long. I'm not much of a Bourdais fan personally, but it was pretty cool to see the guy running up front again.

Pretty anonymous race than yesterday. Scott Dixon is literally kicking everyone's asses unless a caution comes out.
EDIT: And the yellow is out for James Jakes hitting the wall.

Wow. This race has been a snoozer so far. Kind of surprising considering yesterday's race, but then again, Dixon was sitting on the pole, and that car was fast yesterday, so can't say I'm surprised.
