Also the last race of the season broadcasted by FOX before dreaded TNT takes over for the next 6 races afterwards.

I think the memory of their pretty bad coverage of Sonoma last year still kinda gets in my head a little, at least I'm hoping they'll be better this time around.

From what Fox is done this year. It's a refreshment to be away from that abomination of coverage.BWardboy88 wrote:navycook75 wrote:I kind of like TNT...BWardboy88 wrote:Also the last race of the season broadcasted by FOX before dreaded TNT takes over for the next 6 races afterwards.

Since TNT is more low budget of the 3 networks. If they can work on their issues with commercial timing/quantity they will be a nice change of pace.

Not to derail this thread, but assuming that you're cheering for him because he's running the Autism Awareness paint scheme this weekend, I can see where you're coming from. I have a younger sister who has Autism and another sister that has Cystic Fibrosis, one of which Denny Hamlin runs a charity for and another he's sponsored by. That's the only reason I have for liking him, honestly. With that aside, it's nice seeing him contribute to something that has impacted me in my life.

In other news, Hamlin wins his second pole in a row, all JGR cars qualify in the first two rows, and the man cursed to never win a race, who also won his only race here, will start second.

Since Kahne just wrecked, I doubt you're enjoying it as much anymore.
In all seriousness, I just haven't found this race to be interesting. Sure we just had that 6 pack just a second before Kahne's self spin, but other than that, this race has been kind of... bleh. Not as bad as the 600 or Texas, but it's still pretty bad.

I actually had the race paused after the last caution as I was in another room (yay DVR!), but I was kinda hesitant to post cause I knew that would happen as soon as I said something.

Re: 2013 FedEx 400 @ Dover - Sprint Cup
Gen 6 cars seem to be designed for boring races.
I know I will get flamed/hunted down and killed for this, but I actually prefer Fox's NASCAR coverage to TNT's, mostly due to that "wide open" bullshit they do every Coke Zero 400. They move the banner graphics from the top to the bottom and say it's the most revolutionary advancement in the history of TV, then don't use it for any other race they cover.

That finish actually wasn't bad.
More importantly, I'm surprised Montoya didn't try wrecking Tony Stewart for the win.

Yes, because a car flipping over is the only way to make a race exciting. That's the vibe I get from you anyway.
Unbelievable finish to the race. Really wanted Montoya or Gordon to win that, but oh well.

Johnson throws one away and Smoke pulls a Where did he come from moment to win it.
Re: 2013 FedEx 400 @ Dover - Sprint Cup
NO!!
Again a driver a like gets denied victory lane, but on the bright side, Montoya will win hopefully this year.

That was unbelievable. I never would have guess those three would be fighting for the win, even with as good as Montoya has been running as of late.

Re: 2013 FedEx 400 @ Dover - Sprint Cup
Well, this race was batshit boring for the first 350 laps, then it turned the WTF meter up to 11 with... Jimmie Johnson jumping the final restart?! What is this sorcery?! Anywho, the finish was actually entertaining, which is surprising given Dover's recent history. Would've liked to see Montoya get that first oval win, but he's gonna get it soon at the rate he's running. Stewart finally breaks a long winless drought with a win at his least favorite track. Despite the fact that he's been a whiny ass this year, he earned that win here today.
The finish was good, but that still doesn't make up for the first 350 laps being a borefest. But at least it wasn't as bad as the 600 was, so that's a good thing, I guess.
The FedEx 400 @ Dover gets a 4.5/10.

Great finish. I thought that Montoya was finally gonna break through and win, but he'll get on. I can't believe that Earnhardt-Ganassi Racing is actually relevant this year. This race is a 6 or a 7 to me.

Race was pretty crappy till late in the race. That seems like the common formula for nascar races as of late.
