He used to drive a SAAR and was well known for doing so. That's why Ryan and I are shocked that he will be driving something other than a SAAR product. (Same thing for my namesake driving something other than a Lycoia, but then again, he's driven an Inglesby and a Tonare).
Also, during my namesake's short track racing days, he drove a SAAR. Said car kept blowing up repeatedly. And if canon manufacturers follow the real life equivalents to the letter, then in my namesake's mind, SAAR is a major government sellout. (SAAR being a parody of Chevrolet anyway). Combine the two and my namesake is now part of the 'will absolutely refuse to drive one ever again' crowd.
