SO NELSON HOW BOUT THAT FANBOYING!

Decent race. Someone explain to me how in the blue hell Bowyer made it on fuel. Jeff Gordon going clutch when he needed it. Mark with an awesome run makes me special and Hornish making Penske and Logano look dumb.

Don't know a clear favorite though since the last 3 races have been better then whole first half of the season. So i gotta start remembering shizz. Razz

That was an awesome drive from Gordon. He mailed one of these to Kyle Busch:

Congrats to one of my favs Bowyer for winning that race.
How disappointing for Kyle though but great driving from Gordon.
I would be more excited if it wasn't almost 11:00 p.m.(west coast time). Gotta get some sleep for Monza and football tomorrow.

Nice win for Bowyer though.

And mother nature? FU.

When Kyle wins 4 titles and 86 races (not bloody likely on either account, considering how awful he's been in his own NW car this year, showing he's really not that good), then he can be afforded the same respect as Gordon.

Because the ESPN pit reporters followed him from his car to his hauler.

Thats their job. Just say no comment and act nice for 5 minutes and go talk to Jeff. Congratulate and then go be angry in your hauler.

I can't answer that because I couldn't see that. They showed on TV Kyle climbing out his car, saying no comment on an interview, the ESPN pit reporter following him, Kyle's PR guy telling the reporter no comment, yet the reporter continued to follow him into the garage and to his hauler. We can only guess what happened after that.

Personally my money was on Gordon since he has the better cars then Busch and when he doesn't have crappy luck he is easily very fast.

Probably the same way Carl Edwards reacted to blowing up at Atlanta or the same way Edwards reacted to when he was asked what would he do if he missed the Chase during the rain delay -- not be such a downer about it but try and raise team morale.

I agree, and everyone has different personalities so everyone would've handled it differently.

I was trying to say that Kyle has a history of not talking or saying something dumb, so I don't get a few people a couple pages ago criticize him for it. Its Kyle Busch here, what did you all expect? Razz

I knew Kyle would choke. He always seems to fall apart the last half of the season. It's just a pattern I've seen emerge since he started in Cup. As for who will be the one to beat in the Chase, #48 as always. These are some of his best tracks. Really the only ones who have a shot at him are Hamlin and Tony, unless the Rousch guys get their act together and leap ahead like they did at the beginning of the year.

Brad is actually my pick to win it this year. I think he and his team have the equipment to take the next step this year.

Was I the only one that actually enjoyed this race? Despite it taking five hours, I really thought this race was good, from start to finish.

I'm really glad to see Gordon in the chase. Much rather have him over Kyle. I don't think Gordon will be outstanding in the chase, but he could contend.

Don't worry Rykia. I think have the people on here don't care about NASCAR anymore. Consider that there are some people in here that post the same post in different ways in each race thread.

Anyway, the race really did get interesting after the yellow for rain. Hell, I'm still surprised that the race made its full distance.

Funny thing is my dad and I were saying the same thing while watching the race... he really wants Kenseth to win, and the next race is at Chicago, where practically 75% the fans have 17 gear on (it's the closest he gets to a home race anyway).

Remind me in the next race thread to make two or three obnoxious posts and then to make a generalization with no factual basis. I wonder if that would make me look like as much of an ass as you seem to on a semi-regular basis? I scrolled through the entire thread and found ONE post to support your argument. Can you try not being a douchebag for once? It really helps keep EFR a nice, happy place and saves me the trouble from arranging a vacation for you. Cool

No disrespect here, but how many race thread have a post or posts that have said (not these exact words but the meaning is clear) the race is boring or this track is boring? I know I've seen at least 3 if not more thread with posts along these lines and this is what I have a problem with.

So let me get this straight; if you see something you don't like you're going to start acting like a kid that didn't get his ice cream cone?

What is the point of posting in a race thread where every other post is the same thing? One post about the race being boring is sufficient enough. You don't need 50. A bit of an overstatement but it gets the point across.

I'd rather see something like this topic for Richmond. If you don't have something constructive or different to add to a thread don't post in it. Yes I know my last couple of posts including this one would be included in that. This is also why I only post in the NASCAR related threads on here.

It was a pretty decent race. Last 100 laps made the race with some of the most bizarre pit strategy I've seen. Razz

Last couple races haven't been to bad.

Yes, I'd like to see this topic be constructive. If the race is boring, then I don't see why people shouldn't be allowed to say that the race sucks. Not every race is sparkly good and awesome, and not everyone is going to agree with you. I do, however, find it quite rich of you to complain about it when this was one of your last posts.

day500champ1 wrote:And now here comes the bandwagon Gordon fans and Kyle haters.

End. Quit being a tool.

This was the best race since Watkins Glen, and it didn't need the Chase to be a good race -- if there was no Chase I'd remember it as the race Bowyer won because he got wrecked by Montoya and then went 124 laps on a tank of fuel and the race where Jeff Gordon went from terrible to a contender for the win, driving like he did 10 years ago.

Everyone has a right to their own opinion whether, Some races are pretty fun and some races are snoozers...It's not a big deal really.

Why does it matter if people post the "same thing", as you call it? Everyone's entitled to an opinion, including you (even though most of the time I don't agree with your opinion. Razz ).

Bottom line is, if you don't like what people are posting in a thread, then don't reply or read it. Simple as that. Complaining about it will only make Cooper call this guy...

Federated Auto Parts 400 @ Richmond - Page 2 Images?q=tbn:ANd9GcT6KCPwraQq6M5k8GJXlDBF2b_rMQIFeS8GlaTu3oykHpVPwbr6

...and I don't think it's someone you wanna mess with. Laughing

The first part of the race was kind of meh, then came the last 100 laps, and... well, it was crazy to say the least. The fact that Bowyer went 124 laps on an 18-gallon fuel tank is mind boggling, and the fact that Gordon unlapped himself and ALMOST CAME BACK AROUND AND BEAT BOWYER is even more incredible. If there was one more lap, I think Gordon would've gotten Bowyer, even if Bowyer had enough fuel or not.

Implying you don't talk crap about Formula 1 when most of the races this season have been, at times, more exciting than the NASCAR races this season.
