Pocono? No just no. I bet IndyCar never wants to race on a track that doesn't have 3 corners.
Road America? Yes just yes. This track was awesome for the old Champ Cars, and I think IndyCar would not regret making the decision to race there.

Considering how the Texas race went last weekend, I'm okay with Indy Car going to Pocono, especially being it's no longer bumpy and a lot safer than it was before.

I kinda saw this coming from a mile away, plus, Chinese street circuits are not known for being... shall we say... high quality. A certain A1GP race comes to mind...
Pocono is dangerously boring, I hope they don't do that. :[

I'm all for a permanent road course or a short track. It was damn cool watching those cars tear around Richmond before.

To Italians, it was the only good track on the calendar

Re: The race at China for Indy car is cancelled
Well, Pocono's never had IndyCar in it's current state. They've had CART and USAC there though. The race would most likely be 150 miles or so, so about 60 laps. Road America has seen but CART and Champ Car, but no IndyCar. Several current IndyCar drivers have won there though, including the likes of Dario, Tagliani, and Bourdais. The race would probably be somewhere around 25-50 laps, which would be 100-200 miles. Finally, CART and USAC have seen action at Laguna Seca. That race would probably be pretty close to Pocono's since it's a little shorter but takes a little longer to get around.

Why does that matter. By that logic...Why does any series want to do it for that matter? The only worry i see with Pocono is being the speeds.BWardboy88 wrote:Pocono? No just no. I bet IndyCar never wants to race on a track that doesn't have 3 corners.
I'm thinking it's Road America vs Laguna Seca.
Both have held open wheel races in the past and both are still in use. Personally I'd like to see Indycars on Road America again.

I'd love to see IndyCar at Pocono. I think it'd be a pretty good race. Elkhart Lake would be good too, and I don't know if the Indycars would handle the corkscrew too well

Cleveland. It's a ten minute drive from my house
Realistically Road America or Pocono would be nice. Road America is great but the series could use another oval.

Hmm... I'd actually like to see the Indycars go to Pocono. I'd like to see anothter oval fill in the empty calendar spot, personally. Richmond or Phoenix would be great too.

Pocono? Dude they were going 240mph in the late 80s there. Imagine how a modern Indy car could go on a repaved Pocono!

Yes, because the 80s cars are exactly the same as now.

Re: The race at China for Indy car is cancelled
My first thought: Oh no, now the six people that wanted the series in China are going to be disappointed.
My second thought: Laguna Seca or Pocono (why not both [at least in 2013]?) need to happen.

Just bring 'em to Daytona!
I'd love to see them race at Phoenix for an oval, and if it were a road course, Road America!

Re: The race at China for Indy car is cancelled
Now, the question is, when and where will the event be held? The big event was canceled on June 13 in deference to a local beer celebration. Everybody knows that driving and drinking don't go together, but some officials in China are taking it to extremes. Here is a report: .China IndyCar race canceled for beer fest
