With glowing hearts we see thee rise,
The True North strong and free!
From far and wide,
O Canada, we stand on guard for thee.
God keep our land glorious and free!

Hey, day500champ1, I'm not trying to be a wise-butt, but if you want to see for yourself that an F1 race can be exciting, this is a perfect race to watch. It's in the middle of the day and the race last year has proven to be exciting, especially at the end.

I'm going to have to catch the rerun then. Going camping this weekend, then I have a graduation party I have to go to on Sunday.

Monaco was a pretty good race, IMO. I think it just seemed "meh" because the rest of the season has been so great.

yeah, 6 cars in a line, and no passing....ugh that was meh. Though a lot of people on another forum i got to that are way more die-hard F1 fans said the race was total crap.

Pirelli will fuck the race up again, it'll be like Spain and Monaco. Bring Bridgestone back..

agreed. Bridgestone made tyres that could let the drivers go flat out as long as they wanted, but it's the other way round with Pirelli.

I somewhat disagree. I like how it pretty much forces the teams to come up with crazy, different stratiges. Don't mind the Pirelli's right now

I'd rather gouge my eyes out than have Bridgestone back. Anyone remember the 2010 Italian GP, when the soft tyres lasted the whole race? I'd have a thousand Monaco's before having to endure the possibility of another race like that.

I love having the tires degrading. It shows us who is the ultimate driver and team when it comes to strategy and pit stops. (basically echoing what PYLrulz said)

Re: Canadian GP
Headlines of the first 2 practice sessions:
Heikki and Bruno crashed.
Lewis Hamilton appears to be the one to beat this weekend.
Rain will probably not play a role in this years race.

Re: Canadian GP
Lewis Hamilton has just become the seventh different winner this reason, this is history for F1!
Re: Canadian GP
Formula 1 is now 7 for 7. I thought the race was somewhat boring at times. Grojean and Perez finished 2nd and 3rd. This has been some season.

Re: Canadian GP
Good win, Lewis. That marks the seventh different winner this year in an outstanding race, but what else could we expect from a year has been nothing short of amazing?

Re: Canadian GP
Out of all the years I've followed Formula 1, NASCAR, IndyCar, and other racing series, I never thought I would ever say this but Formula 1 has actually been more exciting than NASCAR this season. When that has me saying that, NASCAR really needs to figure something out to make the racing better.
EDIT: Dat margin in the points standings.
1) Lewis Hamilton-88
2) Fernando Alonso-86
3) Sebastian Vettel-85
4) Mark Webber-79
5) Nico Rosberg-67

Surprisingly, the race at Pocono was actually pretty good. This was a pretty good day to be a race fan, IMO.

Re: Canadian GP
A bit late, but I thought it was amusing that the HRT of all cars was fastest in the speedtrap, but I guess that's what you get when you have almost no rear wing. Good win Hamilton, shame I wasn't able to watch the race because I overslept.
