Dragon Racing sues Lotus, expected to move to Chevy.
In a surprising move, Dragon Racing, owned by Jay Penske, son of fellow owner Roger Penske, has sued engine manufacturer Lotus for "contractual fraud". Penske has reportedly returned all Lotus equipment, and is expected to go to Indy with Chevrolet engines just like his father. However, the elder Penske assures everyone that he has not pushed his son to join the Chevy stable. This comes only days after Lotus released two of its teams from their contracts. Dreyer & Reinbold Racing, which fields Oriol Servia's #22, will partner with Panther Racing and Chevrolet, while Bryan Herta Autosport, who own the #98 of Alex Tagliani, are expected to sign with Honda. That leaves only HVM Racing with driver Simona de Silvestro working for Lotus. However, the manufacturer will have a second car with retired Formula 1 driver Jean Alesi driving for former Indy 500 competitor Tyce Carlson.
