IndyCar Silly Season is just about over.

Everything is pretty much signed thanks to the engine limit, so here's where we're at for IndyCar Silly Season.

IndyCar told the manufacturers that they could have up to 10 cars on track for the beginning of the season, with a few more let in after Indy. As a result, here's what teams look like.

First off, Honda, who kept defending champion Dario Franchitti in their cars, but putting his team, Chip Ganassi Racing, in their stable cost them four slots. However, they took up the remaining six with four single car teams and a two car team. AJ Foyt Enterprises, Sam Schmidt Motorsports, Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing, Dale Coyne Racing, and most recently Sarah Fisher Hartman Racing all will make up Honda's 10 cars.

Up next, Honda's biggest competitor, Chevrolet. The bowtie stole away some big teams in Team Penske and Andretti Autosport, which count for six of their 10. The remaining four go to KV Racing Technology, Panther Racing, and new team Ed Carpenter Racing.

Finally, we have the manufacturer that couldn't fill its spots, Lotus. Lotus was only able to get five cars, but may have a sixth. They also have just one multi car team, with Lotus Dragon Racing jumping in with two full time cars. Add on HVM Racing, Bryan Herta Autosport, Dreyer & Reinbold Racing, and a deal in progress with MSR Indy, a new team fielded by Rolex 24 winning owner Mike Shank, and that's Lotus's 2012 team

In addition, more deals are still in the works, possibly for Indy and onwards. Teams like KV Racing Technology and Dreyer & Reinbold Racing could add another car. Conquest Racing has said they will be at Indy, but not before then.

Katherine Queen of Crash has no bissneuss being in Indycar, put her in Lights until she gets some time learning ovals.

The reason it's not going to be used at Texas according to the article is because it will increase downforce, which is something Indy Car likes to avoid.

I'm not too confident in seeing Rubens in Indy Car. I believe it's either F1 or nothing for him, but I'm not sure really, haven't heard from him in a while.

This is witchcraft. The whole point of open-wheel racing is to make cars launch off of each other

I find this whole new design ridiculous. Formula 1 have managed without having to recreate an inverted aeroplane....

The Barrichello deal is being worked on, but due to some major holes in their plan, will not on the team chart. The Guirreri thing is, well, I'm sure if you're trolling or not, but there's WAY too much that wouldn't work with that, starting with the fact that someone already has #8.

Then again, F1 isn't running around on ovals with constant high speeds and the catch fences hanging right over the track

Nope. Knowing China, they'll probably just flat-out copy another design, like Long Beach, even if it passes through some residential neighborhood or something.

More like they'll just have a really boring layout that will turn out to be a pretty exciting race because the road conditions will be akin to San Jose.

Betting you they'll have another pathetic Street circuit with no flow and following the same idiotic formula of One Straight and a Crap load of tight corners because thats "Challenging". I would love to hope they are aware of an existing race Racetrack called Shanghai international, but I don't since Open wheel racing period seems to have an obsession to adopting poorly designed street circuits as of late.
